Dong yang = Eastern Dong yang was the korean elevator group. It was common in korea. But the Dong yang gives license to Thyssenkrupp Elevator in 2006. During 2006 to 2009 in Korea, It was "Thyssenkrupp Dong yang". Since 2010, change to Thyssenkrupp Korea. Ps. I am korean.
Yes indeed. ThyssenKrupp acquired Dong Yang back in October 2003 so that they could enter the South Korean market. Interestingly, Thyssen (the predecessor of ThyssenKrupp prior to 2001) had actually been on the South Korean market in the 1990s through a partnership with a local elevator company called Hanyang (thus the elevators were branded as Hanyang-Thyssen).
Because the Dong Yang was in a rather bad shape. The ride wasn't smooth anymore and the doors were noisy. In fact, one of the residents in this block once got trapped inside.
Will you ever film the Terminal 3 Ultimate at Jakarta elevator? I'm planning to go to Jakarta soon, so yea. Oh, by the way if you remember me, I am ElevatorToughLion before.
Well here's a good news for you; I've finally filmed the Schindler 5500s at Soetta T3 yesterday. Only three I've managed to film; the plaza area, public area and car park building D.
Yes, but not sure when exactly it will be replaced. My aunt said that they will replace it soon as it is now relatively unsafe (it does not equipped with an ARD/Automatic Rescue Device)
At the moment Elevator 1 in Canossa Magdalen House is being replaced. After they finish that I will be able to make an OLD vs. NEW video as well. (the other elevator is an EPL Kone modernised by Kone)
Definitely. The old Dong Yang was like a death-trap; in fact, my aunt (she lives there) once told me that one of her neighbors was stuck on the 5th floor due of a faulty door interlock or something. The new ThyssenKrupp runs faster than the old Dong Yang.

Yeah I agree with you, the old one should go soon. The door of the old elevator sounds pretty dangerous.
My aunt said that the old Dong Yang is not equipped with an Automatic Rescue Device (ARD), and one resident once got stuck inside.
Is that the new elevator is equipped with ARD device?
UPDATE: The Dong Yang is now officially gone. thyssenkrupp finally get rid of it. I'm currently staying in my aunt's apartment again.
1:14 motor sound?
The down chime of the thyssen krupp elevator sounds exactly like a smw elevator chime but sounds different
Did you know that ThyssenKrupp Korea was formerly DongYang elevator?
Yes indeed. ThyssenKrupp acquired Dong Yang back in October 2003 so that they could enter the South Korean market.

Why was the dong yang replaced? Still the new one is just much better
Because the Dong Yang was in a rather bad shape. The ride wasn't smooth anymore and the doors were noisy. In fact, one of the residents in this block once got trapped inside.

Will the other DY get modded?
Yes, but not sure when exactly it will be replaced. My aunt said that they will replace it soon as it is now relatively unsafe (it does not equipped with an ARD/Automatic Rescue Device)

yes 2 elevator is korean?
What do you mean? If you mean where did these elevators come from, then the Dong Yang one was from Korea while the ThyssenKrupp one is from China.
At the moment Elevator 1 in Canossa Magdalen House is being replaced. After they finish that I will be able to make an OLD vs. NEW video as well. (the other elevator is an EPL Kone modernised by Kone)
Kalau Di Tower B ?
Yang tower B lebih Death-Trap. Tapi sekarang semua liftnya udh diganti sama thyssenkrupp.
The New Thyssenkrupp elevator sounds like the Santiago de Chile airport
Yeah the dongyang is bouncy,i have ridden some dongyang elevators and they are acting same.
Dong Yang is pretty much defunct.

No, that's really a ThyssenKrupp chime.
Sounds like KONE but 1 more beep
My original elevator was a dong yang was pretty dangerous I was going to school and when I pressed 1 the
