I found out, that when the spring is removed, you can pres the tap forward and it goes apart

Cool! Do you think that a center lock brake disk would fit to those same splines where roller brake set sits? I like your knife by the way, it looks like Finnish puukko, the blade and handle shape.

They look similar, but I doubt they will fit. I believe the Knife is a copy of a German Herder model. Very popular around here.

More complicated than expected, and you be able to reassemble it, nice job !

    It's pretty cool. Different.

They are rather different from normal drum brakes. But the can rattle, on a bricked street, when not properly adjusted :(

That's a lot of praise for a simple video, that mostly satisfies my own curiosity :)

My Batavus 2004 personal bike uses those roller brakes. How long do they normally last?
Although twenty years old when I bought it in 2022 the owner told me it had spent the last fifteen years in her garage.
I replaced the tyres & bought the special roller brake grease required.

A very long time for sure. Been riding mine for at least 15.000 km. Had them since new. Does not have to do anything to them other than having the shop put some grease into the chamber. Never getting another brake type.
