It is pretty easy to speculate and say whatever you want when team is losing.Obviously Rohit, Surya, Bumrah or any other player of Mumbai would not have liked Hardik come back to Mumbai and especially becoming captain but that does not mean we can just so easily say that everything is wrong.Ishan has performed decently well this season, Rohit is finally having a good IPL after 2017, Sky is doing well, Tilak is doing well, Tim David has been average, Bumrah has been brilliant and only Hardik's own performance has been poor but it is not only this season but in last 2 years, he has not been able to play attacking cricket like he used to.He is certainly struggling himself but other big players are doing well.

One thing which is quite notable is that Hardik being the captain of Mumbai, if Mumbai lose people start trolling him not Rohit. On the other hand, Faf is captain of RCB but Kohli is trolled for the team loss and nothing is said for the captain FAf..
Because firstly Faf is an overseas player secondly Virat is the face of that franchise and thirdly because Virat himself lost in all 9 IPLs as captain(in fact Bangalore performed well in that period only in 2016, 2015 and to an extent in 2021, in 2020, they just somehow qualified for playoffs and lost their last 6 games on the trot including Eliminator) so Virat is criticised(his poor behaviour on the field is another big reason for getting trolled).😊
