I knew she wouldn't like competition so much when she lost after the promotion thing where she had to dig through the details to find a way to declare herself the winner.
She sounds like an actual nightmare, her competitive nature with EVERYTHING smdh. Coffee? cooking?? cleaning?? SMDH She deserves to live all by herself AND she needs intense therapy. A relationship ISNT a competition. it's actually a PARTNERSHIP.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! 😬 This would be essentially every man's worst nightmare. Unless of course you have no spine at all, like the poor jellyfish of a man in this story. She turned everything into a, "friendly competition," and of course everything then turned out to be anything but friendly. Even turning cooking into a competition. I mean the one thing that brings everyone together, sharing a meal, has to become a competition? Lord of all things unholy! 😵💫 She needed serious psychiatric help and he needed to grow a pair a lot sooner than he did.
A men who leaves when things go bad is weak. A strong man stands the storm and makes it through. A true man will only cut the cord if he sees the woman isn't trying or helping him with finding a solution but making things worse. But leaving simply because things aren't good is weak
Children shouldn't get married. If you can't communicate your needs and concerns then you are in a dependency and not an equal relationship. Marriage is not a competition but a union of goals built on love.
If you have to prove you're the best or use the ideas of others to show you're the best, you are far from being the best. What makes us special is who we are or our personality.
Nothing wrong with a little competition, but there are things that take cooperation and team work. Relationships take team work not competition to survive or thrive
Another weak man, but I'll give him props for feeding her, her own medicine and righting the ship. Maybe weak isn't the correct term. Tolerant fits better. We tolerate shortcomings in our partners becasue we love them flaws and all, but when those flaws become toxic, you have to change the rules of the game.
It's weird when you hear something and you hear a mispronunciation. They were talking about Settlers of Catan. It's not KAY-tun, it's pronounced kuh-TAHN.
I'm glad they worked it out. It's nice to hear about couples who fix their problems for a change.
Agreed
I don't know how he stood it for so long. But he taught her a great lesson, now lets see if she continues to realize the lesson she was taught...

What a nightmare....
I have no idea why this guy even dated her. A partner is a companion, a friend and someone you know will always have your back. She is a nightmare.
Why the hell would you put up with this BS for so long. If you're not ok with something, speak up about it
I was thinking the same thing!
Nice ending, one of the few stories that teaches an actual moral.

I would have left her after that disastrous game night.
Nice to see she was willing to change.

She is treating you like a cat treats a cornered mouse. For sport and amusement usually in a cruel manner.

She's a man.
