    You should have also mentioned that the principal told the public that the police investigators told them *not* to put the alleged abuser on a leave of absence. The police confirmed that they never did such a thing.

      It’s actually possible the police lied to cover their own PR. Not cutting the principal any slack at all, but in that situation, always record the police if they tell you not to do something you feel like you should do. Get audio and video proof of them telling you that, to protect yourself. Because the police are the type of agency to then blame you later if you didn’t do the thing they had earlier told you not to do.

    The same thing happened in Blount County TN this year 2024. The abusing teacher had been complained about for 15-20 years, formal complaints to the school that noone knew about. His grandfather, uncles and father were long standing educators within the county and their reputations resulted in protection for the abuser. Unbelievable.

    • @Mudhooks
      @Mudhooks 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +17

      Are you serious? Kids don’t necessarily tell their parents about abuse because they sometimes don’t recognize it as abuse, because they are too ashamed or frightened to tell anyone. Sometimes they aren’t believed. Sometimes they have been threatened by their abusers that they will send their parents, friends, neighbours etc., video or photographic material and they will be further shamed.
      But, yeah. Blame the parents and, by extension the victims, because they didn’t know and that the principal and anyone else who are required by law to report abuse or even suspicion of abuse might not have known about the abuse or because they decided to turn a blind eye.

    These guys are turning a blind eye to the fact that institutions protect the institution above the individual, every time. Think churches, hospitals, police, and of course, schools. Every bad actor is either shuffled to some other location or their bad acts minimized or dismissed. This principal is not different. Perhaps the issue is too big for them, seeing that the entertainment industry is also on the list.

My room was directly across from the coaches room. Me and friends were going to get some food and as we were exiting our room, 3 of the high school cheerleaders were naked with only towels on came out their room. My jaw dropped, they said that their shower wasn’t working and the coaches let them use their. It was insane, the coaches came out and basically intimidated us to say nothing.

    As someone trained in trauma therapy I have to point out her choice of words "retraumatization and revisiting past issues that have been addressed makes it difficult to move forward in a positive direction as a school community" are pretty strange if she truly believes nothing happened - who had trauma in the first place and would be reexperiencing it? If she means the kids then she's admitting they were traumatized. if she means the teachers then she's more vile than i imagined. Also, that's not how trauma works, if someone really has trauma you don't just try to move on and forget it, you need to deal with it in a constructive manner and healthy manner.

    As parents, we want to trust the adults in our childrens lives. We should never trust. Instead we should always be vigilant, listen to our children and their friends, and be ready to act on any doubt!!

    This is Horrific. My stepfather was abusive to me, sexually, physically, and mentally. I moved out of my house when I was still a senior in high school. It was my Principal who took me to the police and got me out of my home. It breaks my heart to know there are Principals on the other end of this spectrum.

      @@DontCryAboutIt I didn't think so. Whenever asked for proof of these gargantuan erroneous claims by people like you, there's never any serious citable data you respond with. I either get the non-answer you gave (naturally) or silence,
      because there _is_ no proof. You want people to believe there are thousands of CPS (and corresponding) agencies CONSPIRING with thousands of schools "to protect themselves from being held accountable for their crimes."_ 🙄
      Are there school staff that perp on students? Well yes, of course. There are perps in every line of work because it's not limited to a certain profession. Do CPS and School staff interact at times? Sure, but not often and not in depth.
      People like you make these blanket statements... riddled with generalities, and the "likes" make the commenter feel like they've really expressed some grand truth. In reality though, it's little more than an opinion with a tinfoil hat on.

    Every person in a position of Mandatory Reporting knows that regardless of the situation, no matter what the accused has to say about an incident, the incident must be reported to Law Enforcement, period. Obviously Katy Wagner failed to do this, she has a Doctorate, she knew better, this is on her. This Principal failed her students and enabled the predators to continue. No excuse, it's on her.

My old principal was getting chased down by news reporters while trying to get into the school 😂 i loved it. Luckily i was only physically and emotionally bullied by the teachers, principal and resource officers.
