I do a lot of bending as a retail merchandiser and the higher back could do my butt good but I don't wanna be wearing 80s mom jeans that go halfway up my torso. That said I prefer mid-rise jeans to low-rise, ultra low-rise, and definitely high-waisted 80s mom jeans

I agree! I always liked low-rise jeans and have hated every minute of the high-rise nonsense. I can deal with mid-rise but that's my limit. Luckily, I've been able to keep wearing old regular rise pants and haven't had to resort to wearing anything higher rise than I like, but if the waist band is at my belly button, it bothers me constantly and anything higher I just want to die and not even wear pants....plus they're SUPER unflattering on my body. So I'm happy as well....I just think we can all agree that the super low rise should stay in the past. My 37-year old self doesn't need my pubic bone to be making any appearances in public.

A tip for dirty socks (good for adults, doesn’t work on kids): I was married for a while before this phenomenon manifested. I was so excited (not kidding). I put dirty socks everywhere: His laptop, in the coffee pot, his truck visor, the pocket of his coat, you get the idea. Suddenly, there were no more dirty socks. I was disappointed, as I was having great fun figuring out where to hide his socks next to surprise him. Haven’t seen them since, and we’ve been married 30 years. The seasons of life pass quickly, so it is best to enjoy while you can.

Hey Robin, I used to be an autism aide. I know exactly what you're talking about. One of my students on the edge of nonverbal/verbal would carry a folded set of school clothes from her dresser to her mom every semester, starting a week or two before day one, and give her a hopeful questioning look. And she was always so happy and excited to get ready for school, and got upset if she thought she might be late. She usually didn't say much or only incomplete sentences, but one thing she would say, "I can't be late."
I can never have too many books. Regarding athlesure or loungewear, I’ll admit that I go overboard on pajamas and loungewear. My grandkids call me Pajama Grandma. I just barely ordered another set online. I have well over 100 sets that are nearly new. Kate Spade is my favorite. My favorite is a pair of pjs with books all over them. Should have seen my husband’s face when I wore them the first time. He looked flummoxed. Books and pajamas together? It was too much! And the boxes sitting in my office that I forgot to send back? We had to make a trail through it to get to the window a couple of weeks ago.

I adore low rise jeans! I've always hated any pants near my belly button, it's just always bugged me from the time I was little. I did whatever I could to keep the waistband lower. Was it because of my umbilical hernia as a baby, maybe, but probably not. Our youngest daughter had an umbilical hernia as well and she wears high waisted jeans with no problem. 😊 (Yes, both of our hernias healed when we were babies.)

You know you're old when you go to Walmart in the middle of the day and they're playing the best boy band ever!... that had the greatest hits,...but when you go to Walmart grocery store and they're actually playing one of your favorite songs and you could hear it from the parking lot because it's on the outside speaker!!
