Today, I'm checking out an artist, I'm fairly new too, and that's #jungkook of #bts Instagram: KBourne_Reacts ... Please send any react requests, to my IG page.
if you've never heard BTS' old discography, its a MUST. it's what got me into kpop back in like 2014-2015. almost everything they ever produced was fire, including every b-side. their earliest stuff is super hip hop heavy (and their rappers can rap unlike most other k rappers- like what you said about the girls in XG), and they really hit their stride around their hit "I Need U" where they found their super unique blend of hard hip hop beats mixed with super catchy R&B and house beats... their next like 5 or 6 mini and full albums were absolute masterpieces. I stopped listening to BTS around 2020 when their legendary, seminal album Map of the Soul: 7 released and they started releasing their english only songs ("dynamite" "butter") because, though i did like a lot of the music, and the general public seemed to really love their last couple albums, they lost the magic to me- that particular sound that drew me in. PLUS, BigHit started adding noticeable amounts of autotune to not only BTS but all of their other artists as well. Thank god they've slowed down on that because BTS singers got way better by the end... and TXT has some SANGERS in the group who don't even need it. Anyway, point being: if you've never sat down and listened to BTS earlier discography or reacted to their eariier MVs, they're def worth a listen. You would absolutely love their rappers because they actually write their own stuff and know what theyre doing- they have swag. You really gotta give their stuff a shot, even if you didn't love a couple of their title tracks (which were often some of the weakest songs on their albums imo).
@@KBourneReacts DOPE!! i haven't listened to them in awhile as i've migrated over to more of a girl group stan (thanks to Loona and Mamamoo initially converting me to the other side), but i still remember how floored and impressed I was with their music and chemistry as a group when i was following them. As far as I'm concerned, nobody was touching BTS at their peak in terms of not only talent (cuz almost every idol is talented), but they're synergy as a group- the ability to bring out the best in every member. The quality of their music is second to none and as a hip hop and r&b lover, they probably have some of the best and most authentic tracks blending the two genres in all kpop. You'll see... if you're gonna be checking them out, I HIGHLY STRESS starting from the beginning, including the bsides from the albums, because the rappers, especially RM and Suga, were absolute murderers at the start and featured way more heavily because outside of Jungkook, the vocalists were very unpolished back at their debut (but they all had raw talent that would be unleashed over the years).
Jungkook kills this. Fire!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 BTS is more like Hip Hop rap. Old school. JHope - Arson (boom bap) A remake of Chicken Noodle Soup. RM - Wildflower I just think you will like this one. Makes me cry everytime, can't explain it. His album is an art album with amazing features including Erykah Badu. Suga aka Agust D - makes savage songs amd the mv's are like movies. A little harder than I think is your atyle but the videos are worth it. Daechwita and Haegeum. He also does some softer stuff, like Amygdala. What is amazing about BTS is the level that they all bring. But they all have their own flavor. Unrivaled 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻🫶🏻
I'm going to try to get into the other members eventually. Someone told me about RMs song "Seoul". I heard some of it and liked it. I was told his latest album o believe, was really good. Had some RnB feels and such. I've heard some August D stuff before(didn't know Suga was the same person at the time), but thought it was fine. Nothing I'd go back to though. But, I'm always willing to be exposed to be stuff though. I think the only J-Hope I really heard, was on the song with J Cole.
@KBourneReacts so you prefer more Hip Hop and R&B over just rap? I actually love RM''s Wildflower, makes me cry. You would probably like Still Life with Anderson Paak. And V made a jazz album called Layover. Amazing musicians on the live Tiny Desk Korea. We will get you in the right track. 😘💜

Yes, exactly. I'll give Wildflower and Still Life, a go.
I think I've listened to everything V, except the tiny desk, which is coming soon
Realized, I've reacted to his entire Layover album.
August d is sugar😂
Ahhhhh ok lol
Thank you. I would love it if you could check out RM's solo album Indigo. Even though he is a rapper....it is not too rap heavy.
I'll try it out
@@KBourneReacts Cool! Thanks so much!
Love Indigo to the moon and back!
