It's so damned cool that the fire and that NASTY riff, with no vocals, at the beginning of the song lets you know that you're in for a banger of a song. These Maids do that all the time. This is what hard rock should always be!!!!!

I don't believe in higher powers and omnipotent beings and then along comes BAND-MAID and I get all this cognitive dissonance going on because they are truly a miracle. I could never fully relay just how much joy and musical pleasure these amazing women have brought into my life, what a fcken band Po 👍🍻

If you want to see them play, try to find any of the "White Rooms".
Without Holding Back, Giovanni and a few more.

You can check out some of the White Room videos on the 'Instrumental Maid' TH-cam channel. Along with many other absolute gems, Including some great Akane drum cam videos.

AKANE!!! 67% of her drumming was drum fills, under drum fills, through drum fills, over drum fills. Bend your ear to the drums throughout the video next time you listen to it. Not just when she is on camera. Brilliant.

Thunder from Akane and MISA! Fire from Kanami and a torch or two! The ladies are on fire all the way through this!

Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid.
So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘Thx, Mr. X!

Thank you! It's so hilarious how another reactor who is supposed to be a guitarist labeled Kanami's guitar playing as "amateurish". What a tool!

I have seen so many wiseasses sneer down their noses at Kanami who ended up swallowing crow...

Do not worry. I met several "guitarists" (obviously not professional) calling Prince a "wannabe guitarist" back in the 1980s due to a complete lack of understanding of what was going on while watching a dude in purple and high heels/whatever. I also met dudes who thought David Gilmore was a bad guitarist because he played "too slow". This has probably happened since "Grawl" thought that "Uorch" was bad at banging a stick on a tree trunk rhythmically instead of trying to chop said tree down as fast as possible with the stick some 200,000 years ago. Since my own youth 4 decades ago, these "musical experts" often get the funniest heads when they try to headbang even with syncopated 4/4 (Do not even expose them to odder patterns or throw a chromatic idea into the mix).
Opinions are great - and then one move one 🙂

I think he was just trying to say, "not super-technical" and he grabbed the wrong word in the heat of the moment. They clearly thought highly of the entire band.
Some of y'all can really come across like you're LOOKING for something to be offended by and grasping at straws to do it. That does not make a good impression on people hearing the band for literally the first time.

They use distortion on their vocals and instruments to create contrast which doesn't always appeal to me. It works on this song though!

You gotta react to Ningen Isu Heartless scat. They're a metal band out of Japan. You won't regret it. They're old school metal and amazing.
