@@GermanShepherd1983 Geography is the biggest problem. The closest G5 school is 600 miles away and most teams they'd play would be trips of around 1000 miles or more. The available conferences don't have much interest in sending teams to Fargo. The Fargodome isn't quite big enough either. On top of that, there would be quite a bit of political pressure against it because UND has a lot of support within the state government and would raise a huge stink about being left behind. So no, it's not just about money, and everybody knows NDSU doesn't belong in FCS anymore, but moving up is also not nearly as simple as people like to claim.
