    As soon as I saw this rotary trimmer, I knew I had to have it. When it came in the mail, my daughter said to me, "don't you have enough trimmers?" So I pulled out the new trimmer and some chipboard and trimmed off a piece easy peasy and she had to agree that maybe it was a good call to get this one. Although I do believe I'll have to give up a few of the others as I won't be using them. So thrilled to say goodbye to ragged edges.

      It definitley has to be seen and used to get the real feel for it. I have tried to show the advantages but you really only know how good this is when you try it for yourself. I'm so glad you're happy with it :) Enjoy!

    Great review. I love that it is compact and yet very flexible if that makes any sense at all. Have a great week.

    I ordered this last week because I'd like to cut things like glitter paper, grayboard, and watercolor paper. I'd never thought about trying to do that with my regular trimmer and I'll be prepared to experiment more with mixed media and different types of papers/boards. Thanks for your demo and your thoughts on this.

    Looks a great trimmer, sounds wonderful. I’m hoping they bring it out in a left hand version as I always have to compromise by either reading numbers upside down or cutting in an unnatural way to me.

    Hello, thanks for this test and review. I like that You tested different kind of paper. The only negative thing is that it’s not taking bigger than 12 inches, sometimes the watercolor paper is bigger…😢

    I bought it and its not cutting very well it is like the blade is blunt. Am i using it wrong?

    • @ruthhamilton8025
      @ruthhamilton8025  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I'd say so. When you have your hand on the carriage, apply some pressure towards the bottom plate and also the metal bar. So, assuming you are using your right hand, down and also to the left at the same time. Move quickly and decisively - that definitely helps especially with textured card, paper, just as you would with a guillotine. I'm getting perfect cuts every time. I hope this helps you as it's an amazing tool.

    I wish people would stop just showing cutting by measurement and start showing cutting by eyeballing - like for cut-apart papers. I can't tell how easy/hard that is with the fixed cutting arm in the way.

      I've show that at the very end of the video in case it was the type of thing someone would like to see. I took the last videos from a side angle

      @@ruthhamilton8025 Thanks, but that didn't help me. It would help if you would try to cut something like a cut-apart sheet or something that's not a solid color field - where the spacing of the cut is important but not based on a measurement but on the design.

    • @joycegifford8826
      @joycegifford8826 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@racena2034 cut apart sheets are no different that any other sheet and there is no need to eyeball anything. Line it up to the edge of the clear plate and cut just like any other cutter. I think you are just being difficult to justify why not to purchase the trimmer. GROW UP.

    • @ruthhamilton8025
      @ruthhamilton8025  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I had a couple of rough edges myself until I realised that I needed to apply gentle pressure to the carriage to get a clean cut. Now it's perfect. I hold it in towards the bar and press gently downwards. I hope this helps
