Yes. Even when I’m able to stream something for free, I’d much prefer a physical copy of something I really like.

Streaming? What's that? I have NEVER streamed any music. I started buying CDs in 1986, SACDs in 1999 and Blu Ray audio discs in 2013. They are my biggest pleasure. Most people do not know what a SACD mastered from the original máster tapes can sound like in a proper hifi system in a carefully treated listening room.

When you give up the option of being able to purchase music in physical form, you give up the option to choose what you want to hear, eventually. And that’s something that the industry, as well as those in the larger power picture, would give anything to have over you.

Vinyl music fossicking in a store is one of those 'BeachCombing' experiences we get so few of these days.

People just want to feel and mostly SEE the music, so vinyl records and tapes are back, that all. 😊

The PRICES vs QUALITY are going to KILL this industry AGAIN .....noone wants to pay 30 dollars plus for crap sound...hail CD at half the price !!

CDs are amazing of course, but the industry need to show them some proper love. Decent packaging and more available new and fun hardware to play them back on. CD players have become some of the most boring objects with the modern Denon and Cambridge systems. Vinyl records from some artists/ labels get the better treatment in presentation, I just wish they could invest in some better quality control at pressing plants for the prices they charge!

Things go out of style become valueless then have a renaissance then have a crazy price then everyone but collectors get over it and move on.
    Really for anything at all.

With a lot of trends I do agree, however records have persisted for 100 years and there’s still an interesting consideration in the idea of physical media. Currently there’s an element of fad/ craze around vinyl but I don’t see a major drop happening because of the level of investment.
Hi-Fi collectors will always exist and currently the format artists are showing the most love is vinyl

"Invested in my own record player" ???? A piece of crap, thats what it is, why are you promoting this? For the money of this piece of shit you get a lot better players on the used market. Bad information, thumbs down.
