Steve, as I have said before, thank you for taking us along with you on your journeys. You are a great communicator and a story teller a trait only few are able to master!
I'm so glad someone could help combine my love of aviation and jazz together and make something wonderful. Your videos are probably the only ones where I get giddy to get some lunch, sit in front of the computer and watch from end to end. Thanks again!
Got in trouble for not emptying the dishwasher cause this video just appeared in my notifications...oh well. Thanks for another great bunch of vids. Your father's band sounds great too..hats off to his group. 👏👏👏😎
I know basically everyone else types the same thing, but THANK YOU Steve and Bob, etc., for making these videos. So freaking interesting. You guys are awesome.
Steve, found your channel by accident last week and love it. So different from the Noel Phillips or Sam Chui airline reviews. Not sure which I love more the videos or The Wings of Jazz that accompanies the videos. I have added the music to my Apple playlist. Thanks for taking us around the world on your work adventures. Love the fact that you will go out of your way to put family first. Keep on flying!
This production was an extreme pleasure to watch. You get better as you go and made this series very interesting. It was fun to watch Jon sitting behind you guys snapping pics at everything and everywhere. He was like a kid in a candy shop at times and it certainly will be interesting to see what he comes up with on Air Current. Thanks for putting some ATC in there while you were on approach to HNL. Being a retired ATC'er, it's music to my ears to listen to the freqs and brings back a lot of memories. Thanks once again for an excellent video and I am very much looking forward to your next segment whenever you drop it.
It’s fascinating how these planes operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for decades at a time without issue. I realize they are designed, built and maintained in such a manner to be able to do it, but seeing your flight(s) in action reinforces how incredibly impressive the world of flight is. Love watching your travels….and learning about the experience in the process. As always, thank you for the video. Keep up the great work!
Another Awesome video Steve!!!....Great RM Williams cap there mate!...good to see us Aussies slowly converting you. Who knows we may see you in a West Coast Eagles supporters shirt next ;-) !
I absolutely love your videos. I always wanted to be a pilot but one thing led to another and I am now a school principle instead. Thanks for helping a chap here in the United Kingdom live vicariously. Please keep the videos coming. Take care, Will :)
What a great video!! I like flying on LATAM and didn’t know this trip would come to Miami, wow. I probably flew in n this 767 when it was flying for LAN Airlines. Thank you for sharing.
Man! What a great combination - the rapid-fire ATC comms and that laid back jazz audio overlay. Definitely worth multiple viewings! Thx for these videos!!
Another great movie 'I've been everywhere but sort of not anywhere' was a favourite quote, I understand that - when coach drving across Europe whilst i went to and navigated many countries and cities the emphasis was on getting the job done, looking after the vehicle, keeping it fuelled, secure, clean and in good shape.Oh and of course servicing and ferrying the PAX So much so that once I got the right vibes from a particular destination I would go back in free time to explore. I imagine thats' similar to you I guess I had the added benefit of being able to park and accommodate within relatively easy reach of a city where as for yourselves it's often the confines of the airport or perhaps an out of town hotel that serves the mission more than the destination. Loving the films and I could see a very popular TV docuseries on your exploits being created
Absolutely awesome, packed with more great information and a seldom if ever seen cargo hold of a BCF. Thanks so much for all the time you put into such a professional video. Loved seeing Ko Olina on final to 8L at PHNL after having stayed there some 10 years ago.....still looks wonderful and holds a huge spot in our hearts. As another mentioned earlier, another retired approach controller here who enjoyed hearing the ATC side again. Thanks.
A lot of pilots post videos of their exploits and adventures, but none have managed to make me a jealous of their worklives as much as mine makes me of yours. I know it's not easy on the family and there's got to be no shortage of stress and uncertainty. Pre-pandemic (and other factors) I spent my fair share of my year on the road (by air). And yet, despite the clear "other side of the coin" you must experience, there's something about your videos that has me more than a little longing for the sorts of unglamorous escapades you bring to life in your movies. Well done.
I’m so happy to watch this before sleep! (I live near Haneda) I look forward to those JAL conversion videos. I remember seeing them waiting for you to pick up! 😍
Great series Steve. Reminded me of my ferry mission with a B737-700 from Port Moresby to Blytheville in June 2021. Wish I had your VLOG talent! What great way to relive those memories and share them with others.
I used to live under the approach to 8L in HNL 24 years ago. I wish I could appreciate all the cool planes I saw when I was 4 years old. I do remember the 747's though.
I'm sincerely charmed by your channel and Content. Allow me to indulge! - it has a unique quality to it, mostly borne by the fact you aren't telling us to "like and subscribe" and interrupting yourself to try and sell us something halfway through. You are clearly doing this as you wish to, not what triggers the algorithms. You are in a genuinely fascinating occupation. Quite envious! Please do a bit more about the small Pacific Islands, if you can. Do a low pass of Johnston Atoll! Greetings from Wales.
Thank you very much! Yes - my videos aren’t real algorithm friendly so I’m hoping the quality alone eventually gets the job done. I just want to produce interesting content! On that note, I’ll be releasing some new stuff this fall. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your praise! 👍🏼
Travelled internationally for 30 years over 40 countries, fortunate enough to live in Asia for some time.. retired now but at times I miss the travel although there where tough spots back in the early 80’s and while I did a number of RTW now it seems like a blur except I always recall the golf and my first hole in one in Thailand.. I love your stuff,, keep it up
Thank you guys for sharing your flights. You made me laugh talking about the Pacific crossing!!! Yeah, having done the Hong Kong trips a few times, I have gotten used to having music and books with me. After overseeing cabin service, I always had to assign the big breaks for the crews, I would always go into the cockpit and sit with the Caption and F/O to give them some breaks and to see the weather storms like you guys had here. Flying on the 747-400s I do miss. Flying on the 777s from Hawaii has somewhat made up for flying on the old 747-400s.
Steve, cant get enough of the videos, these films are so well made. You're an amazing story teller. I fly those Mokulele Caravans all over the islands and I remember seeing the Lion planes and the Latams in HNL wondering what the hell they were doing here. Now it all makes sense, hope to run into you one day, your video's are inspiring and cant wait to see more. Tail winds
Fantastic series with great content, nice for Jon to get the experience too, I must look him up and read/watch/listen to his views Thanks again for sharing
It warms my arrive when you guys arrive in Miami I’m starting the roadtrip towards my PPL. Hopefully one day I’ll be seeing you guys on the field. You guys are great people. Fly high.
Way to go Steve, great clip. Glad to see a RM Williams cap, great Aussie brand all you need now are the RM Williams boots. Keep up the great work 👍👍🇦🇺🇺🇸
I've come to think of Cockpit Casual almost like an Anthony Bourdain travel series but for avgeeks. The places, the sights, and even the foods but also planes. You commentary and visuals help make this something special Steve!
Excellent job on your videos! The chill vibes are soothing, and you find a great mix of travel-blog, crew lifestyle, logistical challenges, and technical points of interest. I'm quickly burning through your catalog and hope you keep up the great work. Thanks!
Hi Steve thanks for the great video, as you take off from Changi on the left I could see Pasir Gudang and Sedili Johor. It reminds me of the test flights we took while take-off in FedEx MD-11s. Really brought back good memories there. Thanks again for the great videos
Makes me dream what if I became a professional pilot instead of an aerospace engineer. Your job looks like a lot of fun. I started flying when I was 16 and still fly and race sailplanes, but flying around the world looks awesome.
Wow! Just found this channel and finished this 3-part series. SO refreshing to see something worth watching. You have an interesting story to tell. But what makes your channel special is HOW you tell your story. This is very fresh. Very unlike most content on YT. I love the music, and your narration/voice overs. Nothing sticks out as 'too much' or 'over the top'. There is just the perfect amount of everything, with nothing lacking. You really could have been a film maker or documentarian. Well done!
Currently working on my ppl and your videos really remind me of all the repositioning flights me and my old cfi would do. Even though it was just in and around louisiana moving planes for the mechanic shop next to the flight school your videos really remind me of those times. Definitely keeping ferry pilot as an option on the future
So glad I found you! My favorite Avgeek films out of them all. As informative as PilotsEye but with stuff the airline guys just won't talk about and way more fun. And the music is choice! You know... If Nomadic wanted to raise a ton of money for a charity. You could do a raffle/lottery with a circumnavigation as supernumerary for the prize. At $100 per chance, I am sure you would get a lot of takers. I am sure that the regs and logistics would make this a nightmare but... Man would i love to be the guy that wins....
I wish I could but the regs/security concerns would be problematic. We do have a nonprofit though and use empty aircraft to deliver relief to areas in need a few times a year when opportunities permit!
Thanks for the excellent videos again Steve. Always looking forward with anticipation to the next adventure. I have the Nomadic (OMD) code saved as an alert in FR24 so I’m always following the flights wondering is it you flying them and could it be the next video. Keep them coming Steve. 👏
Thanks for sharing this experience and thanks for sharing your job. Truly amazing! You guys are amazing at managing all those flying hours with short layovers or not. Also, it's really interesting how you guys literally go around the globe all the time. As always, great content!
Another great video. Fantastic production values as well. You really get a sense of the trip with your commentary filling in the important parts and linking the visuals. Thanks again for sharing. Really cool jazz as well! Cheers from AKL, NZL.
Steve, as I have said before, thank you for taking us along with you on your journeys. You are a great communicator and a story teller a trait only few are able to master!
this just keeps getting better
Did not realize that jawed was an avgeek!!
Much appreciated Jawed! Taking a short summer break and will have some good stuff this fall 👍🏼
I'm starting to think that Cockpit Causal is just Steve's secret method of promoting jazz tunes ;) keep em coming!
Can't pass on a chance to compliment Steve Sr. on the music, that Hawaii approach with ATC overlayed was mesmerizing. Great editing choice as well.
I'm so glad someone could help combine my love of aviation and jazz together and make something wonderful.
Your videos are probably the only ones where I get giddy to get some lunch, sit in front of the computer and watch from end to end. Thanks again!
Thank you!!
Got in trouble for not emptying the dishwasher cause this video just appeared in my notifications...oh well. Thanks for another great bunch of vids. Your father's band sounds great too..hats off to his group. 👏👏👏😎
I spent 30 years in corporate aviation on Gulfstream’s, been to every continent except Antarctica but man does this look like a ton of fun
Woooh! Psyched for the JAL episode. Was cool to see that empty 767 take off from Haneda like a rocket 😎👏
I know basically everyone else types the same thing, but THANK YOU Steve and Bob, etc., for making these videos. So freaking interesting. You guys are awesome.

Your dad’s band are awesome…always a superb jazz soundtrack that’s blended so well with the footage, commentary and RT.

Great as always you guys and the jazz cheers from the UK 🇬🇧

It’s my pleasure

Don't see why you dont have 500K subs man love your vids.
I don’t upload enough 🤷🏻♂️ thanks though!!
Awesome job Steve. As always really appreciate you guys taking us along for the ride
Love riding along AND love the original music!
Damn, Steve! Another spectacular adventure! I'll never tire of these. Thank you so much for the trip and the great jazz! 💕

Please, I need more of that type of videos, I'm fucking loving it. This isn't meant as pressure, just for motivating to keep this awesome stuff up!
Done!
Thanks for the new video, it's awesome being able to follow along on your adventures. This is one of the best aviation channels on TH-cam by far!
Your production keeps getting better and better. Thanks for the hard work and for taking us along for the ride !
As usual great production and fab insight for Jon. Would love to experience this too. Beer in return guys 😇
The absolute “coolest” channel on TH-cam
Thanks again for another premier..I look forward to your excellent presentations, and the great, swingin’ soundtracks!!
Loved every second of this series, can't wait for the next one! Thank you as always.
Want to thank you again for the content! Genuinely appreciate what you do for the avgeeks like myself, bringing us along for the ride.

Best aviation videos ever produced. 😊
Another very enjoyable show! Loved the duration too. So much to see, learn and just enjoy. Greets from a 737 skipper.
Loved the ATC on approach
See? I listen to you guys… 💪

another awesome video
Another great video! Loved the arrival with ATC at HNL. Jon just seems like a cool guy to hang out with.
Very cool
Just to be clear, I have never been cool a day in my life. It’s Bob’s reflected glow.
@@JonOstrower as a AV geek you have been on my cool list from your days with the 787 blog/website. Fun to see where your writing has taken you.
Thank you guys for sharing your flights...

Great adventures, great trips and all and all great series as always.

😮✌👍👍 Thanks guy's, this was epic. Enjoyed every tiny detail of the journey.
All I have to say is WOW! Excellent series!!! Thank you for making these great videos.
I love these video. Its like aviation film noir. Thanks so much for taking the time to make them.
Super cool video - Love the music too! Bobby is killing on drums!!!!!
Bobby Shomo is the man
Great one to end this tour! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Absolutely love this. Don't ever stop!
Thank you so much for these videos they are the best keep up the great work
Excellent job on your videos! The chill vibes are soothing, and you find a great mix of travel-blog, crew lifestyle, logistical challenges, and technical points of interest. I'm quickly burning through your catalog and hope you keep up the great work. Thanks!
Top drawer episode again. 👍👍. Didn't catch it live as i was mowing but watched it after.
Great job 👌

Glad I found this channel. I'm always fascinated by this line of work!
Outstanding!
Thanks for taking us along.
Another fabulous vid!!
Excellent Video Experience. Would love to see a 757 trip!
You may get your wish! We have one going to NZ soon
That was mint! Great video
Fantastic, as usual!
Loved the series and the music is a swell touch. Thank you for this delightful insight into your life.
Keep these video's coming they are fantastic!!
Seeing your videos has made me want to fly ferry flights, love the Nomadic life!
Videos are just so good and so cathartic. As someone who plays music, I generally dislike jazz, but it works really well with your videos.
These insights are fascinating 👏, I always wait in anticipation for the next.
Thanks for another great adventure, great set of 3 amazing vlogs. Looking forward to the next ones.
Newbie! Great vids Steve! Love the detail too! Travel safe!
Nomadic may be the best callsign ever... though something in my heart melts for speedbird, especially speedbird 001
Kinda cool, I worked on Wake Island for a few months back in 2013-2014. Pretty cool little island!
Would love to check it out someday
Another part of aviation very few know about. Thanks guys and Safe Travels ✈️ Look forward to the next video..
Thank you for sharing
Very nice video once again! Cannot compare it to anything else, keep up the good work!
My new favorite channel. Beautiful views, interesting storytelling and some great jazz.
I once had the chance to jumpseat a 747F. That was a blast. The entire "hump" was ours.
More great storytelling! I know you're a busy guy but please keep making these vlogs. So enjoyable!
I’m on it!
Lovin it!
Very Excited 😊
Another great video. Fantastic production values as well. You really get a sense of the trip with your commentary filling in the important parts and linking the visuals. Thanks again for sharing. Really cool jazz as well! Cheers from AKL, NZL.
Cheers thanks Howard
i just love these videos ❤
Fine channel you guys run here. Music included.
Incredible quality videos as usual.
I love your videos, but the music is just amazing...
