Another video, another raw video, erhhh. For some reason, I've gotten into this raw-editing-mood, dunno why xD
Anyway, this is a video i started maybe, 3 months ago? I didnt feel like finishing it at the time tho and thought that it would turn out like 80% of my other vids - unfinished.
I didnt have any ideas after finishing my last video tho so i decided to continue with this xD I realized while editing with Avatar again that Zuko (and Rei ofc) really is my no. 1 anime bae :') such an awesome character
The story of the vid is based on Zukos background and the lyrics of the song. I think it fits him reaaallly well. He starts out being this frustrated and angry guy who decides to make a change for the better.

I used to love Avatar with my whole heart. I never really knew why. Sure, it was badass, the concept was beautiful, and the animation had heart. But was that it? No, I realize now that the reason was because I wanted to live in that world. That I belonged there. It saddens me that these characters I grew to love and hold dear are not a reality. I want to be there

I have just finished watching Avatar for the 3rd time and it's as painful as the first time for me to leave their world and those characters. It just always breaks my heart when I remind myself that these characters and their reality do not belong when I do.

The voiceovers intermittently were a really nice touch; they set the video over the edge. Also all the zooms ugh. So jelly of that. You managed to make a relatively raw/simple video look full of life and just the right amount of effects. Zuko is perfect for this song.

I’m crying. In my opinion, out of all of the characters, Zuko has been through the most mentally. He had to deal with his mother disappearing, trying to get his father to love him, repeatedly getting ridiculed by his sister, getting compared to his sister, his dad burning him, etc. He has been through so much, and that’s why he’s my favorite character. He learned from his mistakes and has grown so much. I’m so proud of him. ❤️❤️

I am very proud of him as well. I also feel very sorry for Azula because I feel she was in similar shoes but was left in her own catharsis to rot and this behavior was encouraged to become the perfect heir while uncle iroh guided zuko. Also above comment, aang’s struggle is not invalidated at all he is also a very dynamic character. Avatar is just a well written masterpiece
sometimes i forget how much effort and character development atla put into zuko and how that made him a childhood favorite.

Years after finishing ATLA and this still made me cry(especially at Zuko apologizing to Iroh. That part always gets me.) Great job. Zuko i one of my favorite ATLA characters and it's strange, because as a kid i hated him and couldn't understand the character. But the older i got the more i understood Zuko bit by bit as i rewatched the series over the years. ^_^
i am re-watching LOA atm and I can't... my first "anime" XDD and Zuko baby...i love him till death

I know this edit was made a while ago. But I found it maybe a few weeks ago. It keeps coming up in my recommended, and whenever I see it, I always watch it. This edit is PERFECT and fits Zuko so much. I haven't once not watched this edit whenever I see it. I always click on it and watch the full thing atleast 5 times in one sitting. this is otstanding, its so great to see how zuko has improved. he took his own path and learned it on is own! it shows his improvment, he went through all of those things to find out the true path of is destiny, if i could say zukos personality in a couple words, i wound say, brave. strong. and one of the most kindest people on the show. when i say strong, i dont mean in firebending, i mean how hard it was to leave his own natian and go on the right path.

This is a song that fits Zuko so well. He made a lot of mistakes trying to live up to his father's expectations, but he realized that they were mistakes. He joins Team Avatar to make up for those mistakes and even though he started as a villain, he's remembered as a hero.
