Koa the Explorer - West End Eagles Thunder, Akecheta, Koa, Treasure & Sterling (6/4)

- After spending the night nearby, Koa started off the day adventuring once again. S/he even discovered the camera and came by to give it a thorough inspection. 😂
Among the other highlights are a series of fly-bys that are quite breathtaking, some wonderful angles that capture the various different areas Koa perches at and explores, as well as the proximity to the nest. Once again, I cannot say enough about these fabulous cam ops!!
Koa is flying beautifully, and Treasure is looking quite ready as well, so we're likely to see another fledge anytime now. Not included in this video, but I did see that Koa made it back to the nest this evening, but did not stay there for the night.
For the most current, accurate info, tune in to the cam live. It's the best way to keep up with all the action - because it's pretty much nonstop this week.

What a Beautiful place they live in! They have much to explore! Wonder if they are excited by that? Know they don't have human emotions, But sure there is at least curiosity!
Human or not, I think they'd just have to feel some sort of equivalent to excitement and awe at a first sight like that, right?

Is there a fresh water source somewhere close by for the eagles?
It's an island off the California coast, so they have plenty of ocean, but no rivers, lakes or streams.
