Great interview Mover! And thanks so much to Organ for sharing his stories - I felt my stomach sink when he recounted the feeling of settling toward the water with the bow of the carrier above him after that cat launch!
Great video series!! I grew up across the street from Rick’s family in Louisiana and had the honor of calling him a friend as adults… he’s shared some flying stories but nothing like this. Amazing career!! Btw his dad has a ton of hours of flight and heroic stories too - aircraft greatness is in their blood! Thanks for sharing! Jimmy
Jimmy! How the hell are you? It’s been too long. I still get down to Houma from time to time. We still have a house there while I finish building my Houseboat. Try calling the airport or my Brother and give me a call! It’d be great to catch up. Rick
Great interview. I’m older and quit flying (civilian) a long time ago. Just great to hear a veteran pilot who has so much experience. Mover and Wombat has great stories too. This Veteran spoke freely and is an inspiration to all young pilots.
I'm biochemist, but being a pilot was always my dream. Thanks for these interviews and your stories Mover. I'm turning random system failures in DCS ON after this one.
Organ is the aviation equivalent of a combination of Jerry Clower and Jerry Reed! That Louisiana humor and the story telling combined with all the experience and knowledge, great interview!
Hi Mover. Thanks for the whole video. It was kind of waiting for the next book in a series to come out. Thank you for you service both in the military and in keeping people safe.
Hey Mover. A great upload. My sub with you is solid and still good to go. I'm not up on DCS, sims etc so I thought to scour your channel for an interview. So this one and enjoyed it. I'm 76 and can relate to back and leg issues, but my come from just street driving cars and getting T-boned on my motorcycle decades ago and years later T boned in a car while giving a customer a drivers license driving test. Thank God, with the motorcycle t/c, I had my hard hat on or I might not be here. I too have arthritis but no kidney stones and no aches and pains related to the kind of jobs you and Organ had lol, lol. I am glad to know that Organ's doctor went the extra in wanting to do more xrays. I get massages and acupuncture treatments which has helped so far to stay off of pain meds. You and your family be well always.
👏👏👏 thank you gentlemen for your time and discussion. I was clapping in my car at the conclusion of this interview for appreciation to Organ for sharing his story. Thank you Mover for making this happen for us.
hey mover, I've been watching your videos on how to become a fighter pilot. im currently a senior in high school and I was wondering if you could make a video about going more into detail about how college went, what you majored in, how O.C.S was (what they taught) pilot training ( what they taught and how it went) . thank you for the information on all your videos,!
I have a friend that’s a retired navy comms de coder he said one time I think near Japan the waves were so high they lost like 3 or 4 hornets. Crazy how that tec was just lost to seas!
Mover have you heard of Brian Shul? I suspect you probably have but if not a quick search of the interwebs on TH-cam you can find him quite easily. He's an Air Force veteran fighter pilot who flew several platforms and ended his active career in the SR-71 and was a back seater with the Blue Angels as a photo correspondent. That would be a great interview for the channel.
Is there any way you can work in the time frames your guests were in their respective assignments? For example “I was a 130 IFE at KDYS on Herks from 1998-2003” I think it’s cool to relate to peeps you interview/ work with
I love flying the Tomcat in DCS. But there is one question that always bugs me: Why does the Tomcat roll reverse when you add aileron in high angles of attack? Because from what I understand about roll reversals, is that the downward deflected aileron has more drag than the one deflecting upwards so it makes the nose yaw in that direction. However, the Tomcat has spoilerons and has no downward deflecting aileron. So what causes the roll reversal?
Got a Navy question. I watched a TH-cam video a few weeks ago where they showed a pilot getting into his jet on the carrier flight deck in the middle of a monsoon. Is it common for pilots to get into planes with the pilot and cockpit getting completely soaked? I can't imagine that being a very comfortable flight or good for all of the electronics.
Just to let you know I don't get alerts anymore on postings. I actually forgot the name of your channel and I had to go back to figure it out. Shows I was still subscribed and alert marked.
Mover Ruins Movies idea: Godzilla (1998) about 50 minutes in when the Apaches are engaging and blow the whole top of the Chrysler Building off with a single sidewinder and the M230 is firing pew pew rounds like a machine gun.
If you ever had kidney stones, when they hit you, there are times you want someone to shoot you. You curl up in a fetal position and just cry. There is no warning when they hit. I was driving when I got my first one. Its a thousand wonders i didn't crash trying to get home, I actually didn't make it home barley made it to the ER.I would think you don't want your pilot to have them while flying
Does he mean you can’t fly with current kidney stones, or can’t fly ever once you’ve had stones? I’m a military pilot (don’t fly anymore) that had a stone in a ground job and holy crap!! Never experienced pain like that ever. Does that event now stop me from flying again even in a civilian capacity?
Great interview Mover! And thanks so much to Organ for sharing his stories - I felt my stomach sink when he recounted the feeling of settling toward the water with the bow of the carrier above him after that cat launch!
You gotta love the old bold pilot. Those are some great stories. Thank you both.
Watched all 5, what an incredible career, Navy Pilots Rock!!!
Thank you, I Love hearing stories from older pilots from my fathers and grandfathers generation

Great interview watched all five parts
I have a friend that’s a retired navy comms de coder he said one time I think near Japan the waves were so high they lost like 3 or 4 hornets. Crazy how that tec was just lost to seas!
Hey man, where you at?
Been a while since you've made any posts in your social media.
Are you OK?
Thanks Organ and Mover.
Great 3 part!;

Great interview as always 👍🏾
Great interview.
Interesting fellow.
I remember that story burner Bob hickey Commander
Thanks Mover and organ
It’s been three weeks, where’s Mover?
We need an Organ Interview at least once a Month from now on
What a cool guy!
VF-213 was the Nashville crash. Bates and Higgins. They were pilots in my squadron.
Is there any way you can work in the time frames your guests were in their respective assignments? For example “I was a 130 IFE at KDYS on Herks from 1998-2003” I think it’s cool to relate to peeps you interview/ work with
CW-Mover. Are you still flying with the Air Force? I haven’t seen anything from you about flying in awhile.
Great video!
Skipper knew there's not a lesson that could be taught that was more understood than almost getting run over by his boat

I liked Mover's reaction. I can see him wanting to say Oscar Sierra 👍
Missing your video's. Hope you're doing well.💪

So are back problems the reason why pilots generally don't fly fighters for more than ten or fifteen years?
Legend!!
I really want to know what the peanut jar is... is this dude flying around with a peanut jar on a string or something to indicate orientation??
Peanut gyro. It's a small attitude deviation indicator.
Hey mover, is there gonna be anymore Mover ruins gaming? Like more ace combat videos or something?
Organ and I were in the same squadron VF-2 I was in Airframe work center 120
good storie you said it all in this Interview. also DCS is just a Simulation.
O7
That Bounty Hunters Tomcat looks hot.. ❤️🐈
Mover Ruins Movies idea: Godzilla (1998) about 50 minutes in when the Apaches are engaging and blow the whole top of the Chrysler Building off with a single sidewinder and the M230 is firing pew pew rounds like a machine gun.
Mover, What's a peanut jar?
…I got my kidney stones removed surgically. All good now…. Where’s my F-4???
If he wants to fly again he should look into powered gliders. They don't require a medical.
HURRY UP AND REVIEW TOP GUN 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ WHAT’S THE WAIT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
React the new trailer air force the movie
Could you please react to DCS World | ELI 21
He can roll over to basic medical unless he wants to fly airlines. He probably done 3 lifetimes of flying maybe wants to move on to other things.
Why can't you fly with kidney stones? Forgive my ignorance, but it doesn't make sense to me.
Pulling gs can dislodge stones. They can be super painful to the point where you aren’t going to be able to fly the airplane
Does he mean you can’t fly with current kidney stones, or can’t fly ever once you’ve had stones? I’m a military pilot (don’t fly anymore) that had a stone in a ground job and holy crap!!
