Thanks for the video. My own experience is that the chip in the cab is less prominent if you have the Bachmann DCC installed which seems to sit lower in the cab - not much help if you are not DCC though.
Perhaps not the best traction but mine is ok with 18 small plastic wheeled wagons on radius 2 track.

Yes, being very much a beginner I’m still a DC user! Someone elsewhere has suggested to me that some of the models have been a little oversprung at the front which has caused the lack of traction on the bends - hope it’s something simple because I loved the quiet, consistent running otherwise.

I have one of these too, but my blanking plate sits flatter and from most angles is not visible! Overall I really like this model, but havent run it yet other than a brief try on my test track as I haven't fitter the chip yet! Will be interesting to see how it copes on my curves!

Fingers crossed it goes well for you! It’s a beautiful model, hoping I can get mine working better with a bit of poking and prodding!

Interesting how your entire freight train is all plastic wheeled older Peco wagons, I replaced all the wheels in mine with farish metal ones and it made them roll much more freely and consistently. - I would suggest you could run a similar length train without fault if it was made up of newer Peco/Farish/Dapol/Mathieson wagons with metal wheels.

I have oo gauge gce n9 class by sonic and ros. My only issue with it was more pick ups
Word to the wise be careful criticising any of rails of Sheffield exclusive models.

What radius curves is it struggling with?

      This was on R2.

I think it’s your wagons rather than the loco as we have had one pulling 20 wagons up a 1:100 gradient and round curves. I suggest you check your stock before slagging off Sonic……

Hi Dave, thanks for your comment. Whilst my wagons aren’t exactly the newest, my other locos haul them round without a problem… Someone elsewhere has suggested that some of the models are a little oversprung on the leading wheels, which has caused a lack of traction on the bends - so perhaps that could be the key.

I’ll stick with it I think - it’s a lovely model. Some folk have suggested a few ideas so hopefully it’ll be pulling those trucks soon…
