    Yet another awesome video diving into Dime's style and just how much differently notes can sound by simply changing the technique! I love being able to see how Dime created and played these amazing songs🤘😝🤘

    Dime is my favourite guitarist ever, i base all my style around Dimebag Darrell and James Hetfield. really enjoyed the video and really shows Dimes technique was always far from just basic. a slight change in technique and a whole new sound. \m/ \m/

    Ami nekem bejött az az, hogy kicsit hátrébb csúsztatom a palmmute-ot és akkor nyitottabb hangzás lesz a harmadik kör, de lehet, hogy csak floyd-rose rendszeres gitárokon működik mert az én tapasztalatom szerint amúgy is előrébb kell rakni palmmute közben a kezet mint egy fixhidas gitárnál.

    I know you used a tune-o-matic for this vid, but how do you chug with the same heavy muting with a Floyd rose? I've been playing my Floyd for about a year now, and I can't get a good chug. Any tips?

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... So when I started, for many years Id used only guitars with tremolo systems, and when I switched to tune o matic, it maaybe got a bit more comfy like that, but Im super used to the tremolo systems, so it;s very hard for me to tell how to approach the other way around...
      Just keep looking for the sweet spot, and Id think it also depends on the action (the lower it is, the harder to have a thick & fat chug...)

      Just remembered that in the first few months when I only had a nylon string acoustic guitar I already tried to do the chugs pretty early on:) That definitely had helped my chugging

    Mmm I always went to 6th fret on E string not first fret on the A! Interesting 🧐

    • @markgarcia72
      @markgarcia72 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dime did too. Not to say this song specifically but Dime has talked about using the thicker strings to get a fuller sound from a chord that could be played on the thinner strings. He would also dial back his volume just a little to cut out some of the bite in his tone

      6th string 6th fret is A#, as is 5th string 1st fret is the same note.
      Only major difference is the flexibility on the 6th fret, versus the 1st fret on a tighter wound string. It's heavier and chunkier too. This is the correct way to decide where your notes on the neck.
      It sounds chunkier on the lower gauge strings. But you can play it however you're comfortable.

    I fully appreciate these videos and what Attila is doing here. My only caveat is that dime was all about feel and just playing so taking apart each aspect of his playing albeit interesting goes against his mindset. I don’t proclaim to know how or what Dime thought but based on his old interviews I discern my opinion f on that.

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree fully, and it is a concern of mine when I prepare NOT to overpractise, because than it may get too polished, too "clean" if you know what I mean.
      Still, I believe His approach just simply too useful, interesting, out of the box not to talk about it like that

  • @santinhoww
    @santinhoww ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How low are your strings? I struggle to set it right, sometimes feel high, sometimes feel low 😅

    • @AttilaVorosOfficial
      @AttilaVorosOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sometimes depends on the actual guitar, because some I could have lower action, some a bit higher with...
      Normally Id say I like the lower side higher (maybe a bit higher than "normal", and the high strings a bit lower, closer to being "sporty", but not super sporty... Also I love hybrid sets, so muuch lower strings on the low side, and light strings for the high side for big bends
