We live in Fallbrook, CA & recently went to Solvang, CA where we discovered a small shop that made everything from used wine barrels including a Christmas tree! Loved the video and your clear instructions! I subscribed for that reason aside from your being a heck of a nice guy!
Instead of welding the band, could you just overlap it in one spot and screw it together to the common board, and then be able to install it last? For those of us who do not have the ability/equipment to weld.... Great video. Very easy to follow. Thanks!
do you know how to build those half wall tables that you see in wine rooms? they are cut on the vertical so the table is still about 3 feet tall and gkued to a wall. Im not sure how they get the metal back on just half the barrel
Brand new? Usually around $1000. The more they are used. The cheaper they are. You could probably get an old barrel for around 50 bucks. But it probably won't be too pretty.
Hey Tobey it's Fernando your little brother. Very cool video im proud of you

Looks killa m8. A mini version of them used as bar stools would be amazing
Cool project I will be building a couple. A half lap joint on the spreader might be a good looking detail.
Thanks
Ah, great vid mate'' been wanting to build some of these for a while
and now I have an idea on how to go about it'' cheers!
What about putting the inner boards bowing down so you may put a bowl or Persia a plant there..

It's been awhile since you release this vid. Any do's and don'ts for a beginner?
I always screw the bands to the barrels before i cut them and the barrel in half.

i hope it was informational?
I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
Woodprix is nice for that.
Go to WoodPrix if you'd like to build it yourself.
I prefer to build with Woodglut plans.
Great to see that woodprix has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
