People don't realise how big KnB was when it aired. It slammed every other sports anime. It still has one of the best face offs ( vs Aomine) in all of anime.
Kuroko, Ippo, and Haikyuu are genuinely like... THE big 3 sports anime. Ace of Daimond, a baseball anime, is another one, so really it's more like a Big 4.

Even though Kuroko isn’t the most favorite sports anime out there, it has a special place for me because it was my first sports anime and it made me love the sport. I thought it was a stupid game and didn’t have any “thought” to it but this anime showed me how amazing the game is (aside from the “powers”😂) and I even joined pep band to play at the games and watch them free😂
Big Windup best sports anime/manga but yeah KNB is quite iconic and the VAs are fun too since they did so much extra material for KNB like drama CDs and extra music for each character. It even has light novels if you're into that cause it does give more info.
Nah man when Kuroko was still on going that was the peak sports anime. Not as big as all the other big animes, but for a sports anime it was up there for a while. Haikyuu just has that mainstream audience not saying its bad, but it is hyped up a lot.
I didn’t like basketball. I have watched KNB. I loved it. But I still don’t like basketball. It means the anime was so good to make me like a sport, even if it was for a moment.😁
There are some banger sports anime: -Ace of Diamond -Major -Hajime no Ippo -Eyeshield21 But I will always recommend: Yowamushi no Pedal (great anime about cycling)

(Haruichi Furudate) in drawing sweat and volleyball attacking position, in exchange Furudate treated him to ramen for a whole month
