Must admit I disagree with quite a lot of this. The flatter cuffs don’t offer the same protection level as the padded cuffs. The kookaburra gloves compared to the pumas were the more expensive and better quality glove. The catching area of a glove should be in the area between the thumb, index and middle fingers, rather than the palm itself, that’s why the thumb is raised to make that more prominent. The square cuff with a wider palm is generally for people with bigger hands or who use double inners, the tapered cut is for those who have a smaller palm for prefer a snug fit. Pads are personal preference.
