I had the same problem, cleaned the contacts, and it worked - for a little while. If cleaning the contacts doesn't work, try this: My problem was the solder points on the switch itself. You have to unscrew the circuit board to expose the underside where the 3 solder points are. The damage was unseen to the eye. It looked fine externally, but internally the solder had turned brittle and was no longer contacting the switch posts. All you have to do is heat up each one with a soldering iron until the solder slightly liquifies and rebonds with the post. No extra solder needed, just heat them up and remove the iron. I did this last night and it's 100% functional!
I had no sandpaper and found it strange that my paddle microswitches would be dirty due to how little my wheel has been used, but it was absolutely it! I used another tool to scrape a bit inside the microswitches and now the paddles work flawlessly again! Thank you!
"And open it with a small screwdriver..." Um, yeah. And don't let the little bitty black thingy get away from you because it pushes down on the switch. It WILL come out while you're struggling to open the switch. And watch out for the metal contact as well. It's easy to lose, too.
For those who want to know how to fix the double shifting problem and this, you need to open the wheel and heat the solder with a soldering iron until you see the solder liquify a bit, repeat the process on each pin (3). I just did this and worked like a charm 👌
If you don't have a soldering iron you can achieve the same effects with a butane torch. Use vaseline (on the circuit board) and tape (on the components/button switches) to protect the board from the flame. Hold the butane torch close until the solder looks very clean and shiny (beginning to melt) and stop/wipe off vaseline etc.
Wow, I found your video after being told by Logitech customer support that they don't have repair centers in the country I live and I was pretty much on my own. I'll send your video to the guys at Logitech I was dealing with by email just for fun...

Just cleaned the microswitch using isopropyl alcohol and compressed air instead and it's working now. Although the video doesn't show how to open the microswitch, it's nothing another video can't help with. It's a bit tricky since the leverage and button are hold by the cover and they might fall off once the cover is removed. You can easily place them back, just have to be careful not to lose the button.

EDIT: IT WORKED! i left them submerged in IPA for about 4 hours, took it out and blowed with compressed air and left it to dry for about an hour, these buttons never felt so responsive, even out of the box i had to press the right one a little harder, thank you so much for suggesting this.
@@srmorson How do you access the switch? Are you going to dis assemble the wheel?
@@gilbertalmariego775hey, just so you know this did work great :) You have to take off all of the hex screws on the front of the Wheel, it should come off, them i after i separated the wheel from the body i filled two bottlecaps with isopropyl alchool and left the switches submerged for at least 2 hours, after drying and reassembling they are perfect! They weren't this good even out of the box!
EDIT: i just noticed i repeated the old comment lol hope it was a little more descriptive, you can find videos on how to disassemble the wheel right here on youtube
@@srmorson hey brother! How are they working now, three months later??
@@Recoil_Dave they still work great :). I've been storing the wheel with a dehumidifier aswell so that everything remains working.

Spring and contact came out, its impossible to get them back in without a robot and microscope doing it..
Same :(. Did you solved it?
YOOOO!!! I had the same problem since weeks, i found this video, honestly I did not try it out at all, instead i knew its working so i started give the baby some little pressure and after i saw it working, i banged it a couple of times and now its alive again! Disclaimer i wouldnt give a crap if i would have broken it. If you do not want to brake your stuff more then it was, do not start banging it.. But once again it worked for me! xD
OMG you have saved my life.
I'm glad to helped you
thank you, works perfect! take my like, sir!
