Rae representing Viper and singing “it’s not over, don’t you cue the violins. If I get away, you’ll never find me” is my favorite example of how well the song is written. They crushed the performances but I love how well the song is actually composed to depict what they were going for with it.
(for anyone not understanding, Rae is known for clutching bad situations by hiding in her Viper smoke or pit)

Chatters really dont understand how autotune works. Autotune cant save an objectively bad performance. If youre bad at singing, autotune cant fix that. All it can do is pitch correct if you dont quite hit the note. If you try to do more than that, it just doesnt sound good

I think the autotune was a bit overdone in this song but I get that it’s the vibe they were going for. I do think you don’t need to be good at singing to get help from autotune and I don’t think this song showed rae’s talent at all, but I do think she can sing well without autotune based on what ive heard in the past.

This is basically just streamers reacting to Rae most of these cut off without including Fuslie. Also, yeah Rae had effects on her voice doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a good voice. Just maybe she’s had no vocal training and recorded exactly one song before this. So you know maybe she sounded a bit nervous in her takes. Chill.
I mean, I think it's just because her singing voice doesnt sound like her normal talking voice. like u can hear in the bts vlog she just sings differently. and since the only other peice of rae singing people have is when she like half talked half sang in last cup if coffee people pobably just jumped to conclusions. the effects genually arent that bad lol.

Rae is awesome and props for jumping into the deep end with not being comfortable singing. That being said the amount of effects on her vocals brings into question how good she actually is.
she sang last cup of coffee, and she sometimes accidentally sings on stream. she can def sing, she's just not confident in her voice and gets shy so she doesn't want to try

I'm a rae watcher, and that's definitely fully auto tune. I've heard rae sing before, there's a cover she did with lily. But in that mv, she definitely sound fully auto tuned.

People's singing voice are different from their speaking voice and people can change their voice according to song genre you can see the same from fuslie her speaking voice way sharper than her singing voice

bruh first of all, there is the bts vlog, where u can hear her raw vocals and they are great.
the fact her singing voice doesnt sound like her normal voice doesnt mean shit. it's just her singing style.
second of all, she has a cover with lily and wendy and she also sings there. she sounds different there because it's a different kind of singing. this song is more vocally heavy (requires singing and melodies) while the other is more chatty (closer to speaking normally). so in this one she used her actual serious singing voice while on the other one she could get away with using a singing-talking-like voice that was probably more comfertable for to do at the time.
shocking news everyone, people can change their voice and they dont have to sound the exact same always, and not every song has the same vibe and requires the same kind of singing.
they did probably use some autotune but autotune doesnt completely change ur voice. u still need a good base to begin with, which she has. otherwise it wouldnt have sounded nearly as good as it does.
admitingly on my first listen of the mv I didnt recognise it was rae singing but that's just because we (or at least I) never heard her singing voice in this capasity. that doesnt mean it deserves hating, it sounded nice to me and I just vibed to the song. I was pleasently surprised seeing it was her singing.

ngl the song was disappointing imo. Fuslie and Rae have such great voices and this song was just so boring and sleeper and then the random voice distortion was just kinda funny lol. Hopefully they come up with better songs in the future. Still cool to see though

The same as pitchy rappers like the sound loud thing you need new ears. Yeah it's heavily tuned but the vocals are there.
That is not autotune. that is years of growing up filipino where everyone in the house and the community sings non stop all day every day and with each other. When will Rae just admit she can sing.
