@acwano kazapple is my favorite spell. It does ALOT of damage. As for ability, the Monster Wrangler has a GOOD ability called Monster Pile-On. Does HIGH damage against single enemies but will hit 4 times at random agaisnt a group. 4 times agaisnt a single enemy too however which is where the high damage attack comes into play. Combine that with the Monster Wrangler's Wild Side ability, which gives 2 attacks and damage can hit even higher.
About wildside, its effect can stack with the duplic hat Duplic hat is a rare headgear that echoes a spell cast...meaning if you used wild side with a duplic hat equipped, *you can cast the same spell up to 4 times in a turn* Watch your MP
It doensn't but in this remake all the EXTRA spells copied by it I believe they WILL COST MP PER cast instead of it being Free/0 per use spell damage by games end even at lv 99 sucks anyways and on Dracky mode you can't die so theirs no need to use Multi heal like 4 times iN 1 turn either.
Too bad 1 of the things it doesn't DO is allow the churches that get summoned that way to SAVE the game which WOULD BE useful but ONLY in a version of DQ3 that doesn't HAVE Auto/quick saving it in while the Switch Collection of DQ1 to 3 did have Auto Saves those were temporary but the Save states you COULD make in that version are permanent in that you don't lose those upon saving the game. While this remake DOES have those save states usable from the In game menu THOSE saves get deleted as soon as you load them up the Auto Saves in this remake are kept.

Something I forgot to mention, dont expect crazy levels of damage from call to arms. Its just a fun addition to the list. Although I wonder how much damage it does at level 99 if you have the money.

Martial Artist skill, Critical Crash, which you learn at Level 47. In spite costing 64 MP, its very useful against Metallic enemies, including Liquid Metal Slimes.
been loving the game so far, a very well done remake! i just got ramia but can't seem to figure out how to land at the dragon queen's castle - there's all this fog that prevents landing! i guess you don't need it until later when you fight zoma but it's something i usually did in the nes game. my top 3 favorite abilities are probably falcon hit, boulder toss, and roundhouse kick, at least for most fights.
The sage also learns this spell. My only recommendation for not changing class at level 20 is so you get higher stats when you do change. I'd always recommend waiting till level 30. I changed my priest at level 20 to a sage and she actually has the lowest stats out of all of my party. Everyone else got the 30+ level treatment first. She was a vamp into a genius to get higher wisdom.
@claycountryxwing10 I agree sage gets the spell, most likely later. And yes you can turn a mage into a sage. Or turn the mage into as anything else. Warrior, mage, or monster wrangler. Like I got a priest in the party as well. But no need for him to be a sage if mage does. And I trying to get my martial artist his ability to own metals. I would say ch as nga between 40 and 50. After you have all spells, abilities of job. Seems 40 gets all spells 45 or 50 abilities for attackers.
@@claycountryxwing10I’d have kept them a vamp. Wisdom actually has minimal effect on spell damage, it’s all about monster resists. Meanwhile vamp gives you the health stamina and luck to keep throwing those spells out AND decent wisdom.
I love Service Call but dang it if it dont suck to get Item Shop/Church 6 times in a row, running out of MP when you want an Inn lol. It's the equivalent of Tempering in Diablo 4; Good when you get what you want. Animal Instinct, Nose for Treasure, Snoop, Padfoot, and Tick Tock are great to cut down a lot of the guess work and grind most of the game. And Puff will guarantee dead metal slimes if they stick around the 1, 2 turns for mage characters.
I do EVENTUALLY get it but sometimes I get down to the bottom of my MP pool to get it. And my Merchant doesn't use her MP for anything else lol. Has saved my butt numerous times though. Or at the very least saved me time.
I wish the tutorial in game made it clear that there are more abilities to learn beyond level 20. The way they explain it implied to me that I should be swapping vocations once characters get to 20 in order to keep developing them. Wasted a decent chunk of time grinding when I didn't need to.
Yeah there is so much crucial info that the game doesnt tell you, I guess they wanted a faithful remake. Like the fact that personalities nerf some stats that the game doesnt tell u in their description.
If wild side is determined by having 50 monster in the party, then can you theoretically just change all three members into monster wranglers and then they will immediately get the ability? Cause if this works, then it might be worth the side trip.

The cat suit is actually pretty good for a solid chunk of the mid-game. You obviously wont bring it to baramos but its definitely useful at some point in the game.
I've been waiting and waiting for my bodybuilder priest to get Kazing before going to Warrior. Imagine my disappointment when I finally hit level 38 and it didn't happen. Still trying for 39, hopefully it's no higher than that
