Day 70 of asking Dave to make an official announcement regarding the Mariothon recap. 12 weeks ago, we got the last one of these, and the Mariothon seems to be stream only content now. How sad for something that Dave hyped up so much at the end of 2022. I really wish he would post videos so those of us who don't have time to watch a stream can enjoy it.
@@mike1024. It's called marketing. He wants people to be there to watch it. If his streams would always end up on youtube then people would be less inclined to watch it live. Is it fair? Nope. But that's the way the world works XD

In his announcement video at the end of 2022, he talked about the weekly recaps, and then he delivered them for a while and then just stopped abruptly with no explanation whatsoever. I even came to a stream once and asked, and his answer was "I don't know." That's what these posts were about, just giving us an update instead of leaving us in the dark. I gave up after 100 days though. I get that he wants people to come to live streams, but many people just can't make that kind of time commitment. And it's fine, it's not that I don't care anymore, but I accept that my opinion doesn't matter and that's okay.
@@NautilusGray I personally think his real reason is he was overly ambitious and bit off more than he could chew. I haven't looked heavily, but from what I last saw, his progress on the Mariothon slowed significantly. In my opinion, the best way to handle this is to openly announce your mistake and be honest with your viewers about the future, but that's only my opinion.
it's good that we have ad blockers... 😜 and regarding sponsorships, TH-cam should ban them, because, for the people that pay for youtube premium to get rid of any kinds of ads, they will still have to deal with THOSE ads that the actual content creators make into the videos which are not removable, like the ads youtube inyect in between. So, there is basically no point on paying for the premium service. Basically, those ads make youtube loose money on potential premium users that would not get the premium service due to it being pointless.
It’s not pointless youtubers will still have sponsors. They need to eat still, all premium is for is just for ad breaks that interrupt the current video you can just fast forward the sponsor portion. Honestly seems a bit selfish you don’t have to worry about about ads interrupting the video let them make their money.
@@jyin475 you don't understand, what I say is that it is pointless to pay for TH-cam Premium, the main idea to have TH-cam Premium is basically to have ad free TH-cam, but, that cannot be done unless TH-cam do something to prevent creators from putting ads inside of the videos, like sponsorship ads that the actual content creators do. The ads that are injected by TH-cam are easy to remove precisely because it is TH-cam which inject those and those ads are not part of the video itself, but the ads placed by the content creators themselves on their videos are not easily removable, at least, TH-cam would have to somehow identify that part of the video in order to cut it out and it will result on a weird video. I really hope TH-cam finds the way to deal with those forced ads that the creators put when they realize it is the only way to have more people suscribed on the Premium service.

Also, I repeated only once, from the original comment to the subsecquent answer... You also don't seem to understand the point. I would pay for youtube premium instead of using adblockers but it would be pointless because I will still have to watch ads, not the ads inserted by youtube but the sponsorship ads these youtubers put on their videos. Being that the case, I in no way will just burn my money for an adless youtube that will NOT be adless unless they do something about these sponsorship ads. To clarify, if you pay for TH-cam premium, then TH-cam will pay the content creators and they should not need any sponsors, hence, no sponsorships, but they already frustrated that posibility because of they greed. I watch series on one of those streaming services (that are what TH-cam premium intend to be) and I have no ads, no sponsorship ads, no nothing but the content I want to consume, and I gladly pay for those contents. If there is someone here that is being selfish and entitled that is you blindly defending these greedy youtubers putting sponsorships ads on top of the regular youtube ads, and not bein enough with that they also have patreon accounts to get even more money and also sell merchandise.
