I love TH but to describe Cris Martin as robotic is either extremely ignorant or bias at the very least.

Guy's a fucking idiot, who seems determined to prove his ignorance.

This is so much better than the Christopher Martin version. I don't see how that's not obvious to everyone.

Let’s not compare the both of them. Both of them have different sounds and slight different approaches to this music, but both of them sound very beautiful playing it. Let’s appreciate all the different players’ way of playing this work :)

@@419nigerianprincess8 Or we can promote who we think is good and criticize who we don't like. It's ok to do so. It's like voting. I don't want to see Chris Martin style playing become more popular. It's probably going to happen anyway, but we don't have to accept it.

@@Will_MoffettCriticize away, but maybe consider adding nuance. Saying this is “so much better” than Chris is not adding value imo

@@BlueAvianProductions Chris Martin sounds like what AI will produce when it gets better at playing music. He really lacks anything evocative of the aim of a piece. Contrast him and Phil Smith playing pictures at an exhibition to see what I'm talking about. Martin is the T100 of symphonic trumpet. I check out his vids now and again just to make sure I'm not crazy and, yep, he is producing an emotional flatness which dominates my interpretation of his playing. I checked out a vid of him playing malice towards none and so youtube recommended this vid and to me - no question - this is far superior.

@@Will_Moffett Slightly more detailed argument, but still quite vague. You need to define what the piece is attempting to evoke and detail how Chris “lacks anything” in this direction. It might be worth noting that John Williams (composer of the piece) chose Chris to perform it for the film - I don’t know if the composer would choose someone who “lacks anything evocative” of the aim of the piece.
Your only other argument that I can detect deals with “emotional flatness,” but again this is so vague that it’s hard to argue with
