Worth $100 if a) had a dimmer and b) came in white. Defiantly worth $100 if it came in every color LED so one can match guitars too. They make multi-color LEDs. I have 30 guitars, only one is blue and even then I would want dimmed white. A cream strat, maybe yellow dimmed. I rarely use fret dots, i always use side dots. Most my fingerboards are blank or vines. Studios are dark, and sometimes lighting crew had a few too many beers and leave a soloist in the dark so yes, good idea. Been waiting for these for 20 years.
Great idea, I have black dots on a rosewood fretboard - impossible to see at a campfire or night gigs. They need to build those right into the fret board with battery juice form the 9 volt pre-amp. Please hurry with that guys...I am waiting.
Wait till your over 50 and can't see the side dots anymore....or, try to bend your own neck to read the face dots. Aint happenen. They they are worth it then but agree, more young people playing than older (with cash). Most people dont have $ these days. Thats why a person can pick up a Gibson les paul on the net for $500.
Whats a hendrix chord? I learned chords A-G#, is it a H chord? I think the only thing bad with this is the way the battery is designed sticking out andnin the way should have been designed flat against the back of the thing.
+Yu Yö Yes, I will update the link. Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos. Have a great day! #guitarled #guitarstuff #guitarlights #lights #frets
+Ankush Venkatesh It is probably around 3/32-1/8 thick(just a guess). I have asked and tested it with several professional guitar players and they all agree that it does not interfere with playing. You barely feel it while you are playing. It is smooth just like you neck. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day! #guitarled #guitarstuff #guitargadgets #guitars #guitargear #coolguitar #lights #led
HOwd you get Michael J Fox to shoot this vid for you? Seriously I had a ? does this interfere with playing at all do you feel? Also how tight is the battery in the compartment because I play in a metal band and were a tad crazy on stage. Thought this would be cool.
I doubt that you will want to remove it if you install it properly. The most would be some tape residue, but tape residue can be removed from guitar finishes slowly and carefully. So, really I don't think any damage will occur. #taperesidue #guitarlights #fretboardlights
+OKNC Dippers Yes, you can still use a Snark tuner. However, I prefer the Planet Waves mini headstock tuners because the Planet Waves are more sleek. The Snark tuners look like happy meal toys and putting a happy mean toy on a nice guitar just looks funny to me. Have a great day! #PlanetWaves
The only time you stuttered and slurred your words where when you announced the product name. Lol. It happens... I'm going to try and search out the mmppffferson thing.
Younger persons may think of such an add-on as "cool". But, in 41 years of playing, I have never found a need for it. And, it's time consuming enough to keep them playing (I have four guitars, and four amps that I maintain entirely myself) just as you like them. Players generally would be better served by spending their time practicing, rather than worrying if they look "cool".
Music is expression of self and if in that expression someone wants to look or sound a certain way then the options should be open to them. Maybe in your 41 years of playing if you weren't just a hobbyist you'd have found a way to realise the aesthetics of a musical instrument have huge merit in entertainment. And maybe most people don't take 41 years to be good at guitar, maybe they can spend 5 mins to put on some LEDs AND still practice :) Old man shouting at clouds in TH-cam comments SMH. That means shake my head btw, that means by the way btw you old frog.
Touché! In reality, I am an old(er) guy. However, apparently many players do not want unnecessary, extraneous add-ons to their instruments. Just look at Gibson's debacle with the robot tuners. As for your abbreviated colloquialisms, I very well understand them. I simply value the use of the language, and believe that correct grammar is important to our ability to convey written meaning. Of course, I do value your opinions as just as valid as mine. Also, I can agree to disagree with you on some points, and part ways as friends. Cheers!
@@richarmandertv2003 You might be a bit harsh with all of that although I agree with you in essence.. I have played many settings in my many years of playing and used different guitars in the playing so it is not a process of rote memory that helps me know my guitars but if I get into playing more with LED's then why not? My markers are almost the same color as the guitar and serve little purpose when lite is low so I like these unintrusive little lamps..
@@kenfoland As I get older I feel some resentment coming my way perhaps because I am confident but who knows.. I was on board until I saw the battery hanging out... Brilliant idea tho. I've loved lit fret boards since the Limp Bizkit 😂 I loved that bass!
Wow cool but not $100.00 cool. More like $20.00 cool. Thanks a bummer.
Mikael Smith worth the expense I hope. Looks better and sleek than fretlord products.
Totally agree, $100 is clearly gouging and greedy for less than $20 worth of parts.
Only if you can install it internally ? No hanging wires or something outside stuck on.
can we get these for bass guitars and where in aus

can you provide a NEWER link, where I can purchase? The provided link is not working
www.fretfx.com/
Is it also for bassguitars???
I tried glow in the dark pen....and just filled the inlays....way better cheaper than this
The link you provided does not sell this lighting product. Could you please send it to me?
All I could imagine is me being a little too drunk and playing the led lights :)
Hi where did you buy these from?
Who makes the LED kit and how much does it cost?

WHERE TO BUY IT?
Hi friend can you tell me wich model is? Thanks....
Donde los compro? Hay pedidos con envio? Cual es su precio?
Thanks!
Where to buy?
Why would I want to put trashy tape glue on my guitar neck? So, those Hendrix chords are not gonna slide. Sorry,,looks like expensive crap.
Whats a hendrix chord? I learned chords A-G#, is it a H chord? I think the only thing bad with this is the way the battery is designed sticking out andnin the way should have been designed flat against the back of the thing.
Thanks next years model🤣

Where to buy
You can find them at guitarfretboards.com
how thick is the strip? does it interfere with playing ? is it a significant difference for your thumb ?

What's up with your sound hole
can you change the dimming?
That would be a cool option, but these are not dimmable. ....or at least I don't think so. Lol
from where ican purchase this led
HOwd you get Michael J Fox to shoot this vid for you? Seriously I had a ? does this interfere with playing at all do you feel? Also how tight is the battery in the compartment because I play in a metal band and were a tad crazy on stage. Thought this would be cool.
Are these guys still in business? Sent a couple emails with no response...
Don't know. The link is on guitar fretboards dot com
Hey where did you buy those side dots for your guitar from? And how much did you pay for it? Do they have other colors of just blue...?
I think they only have the blue option I don’t know if it’s changed since this was posted but they are $100
$100 NO THANK YOU!!!!
looks awesome but a little too pricey for my blood!!!
Right! I can LED light my whole basement for half that price. With a wireless remote.
Will it damage a the neck if I decide to remove it someday ?
I doubt that you will want to remove it if you install it properly. The most would be some tape residue, but tape residue can be removed from guitar finishes slowly and carefully. So, really I don't think any damage will occur. #taperesidue #guitarlights #fretboardlights
Thanks for posting this. Might have to add it to my strat.. Very cool..

The current website is FRET FX.com for those whoe are looking for the product👓👓🎸
What is the battery life time?
one battery will last through many shows.
@@SammyBones where do i buy them at
Where do i get these.
+Randy McfArland Thanks for the comment. I will post a link in the video description. Have a great day! #amazon
Sammy Bones Thank you for the speedy reply and the info sir.
Seems like that would get in the way
Why not make the battery the other end so it sits in the cavity?
Then you'd have to reach in the hole might have to loosen the strings to get to it. It would be a hassle
The only time you stuttered and slurred your words where when you announced the product name. Lol. It happens... I'm going to try and search out the mmppffferson thing.
Why $100 ? I buy it for $30-$40
where?
Unfortunately, the manufacturer no longer responds to inquiries, as he is so far behind.
Link $???
Guitafretboards.com
Better pour some glow powder in there along with superglue in that small hole...and you ll have the same result.....for way less....
Good idea, but kinda worthless to have them on the fret markers tho..
maybe it looks like something useless but if you are more focused in the dark like me , it may help
ROVAKAN Yeah i like to play in the dark , but its a chaklenge sometimes keeping track where the right frets are
These look more like Fretfx.
Fretlord do not have the coin battery.
There’s Chinese version for £9.99 but not too sure about quality tho
the opposite of this LED on guitar is putting an iPad in a wooden frame.

What a silly comment , Ive been playing for over 50 years ,i cant see the fret markers on a dark stage , everyone is different
