  • From a Department of Justice lawsuit to slowing iPhone sales in China, there are plenty of headwinds for Apple (AAPL) investors to worry about. Those worries are reflected in the stock price, which has fallen more than 10% so far this year. Could it be a buying opportunity?
Piper Sandler Managing Director and Chief Market Technician Craig Johnson argues "Apple looks like a pretty attractive place for people to park their money at this point in time," given that there is, he argues, a potential for a broader market pullback. Johnson acknowledges the company faces headwinds but is still a "high quality, blue chip company that's been doing very well for a very extended period of time."
Watch the video above to hear Johnson's four reasons why now is the time to buy Apple.

I own Apple, and I’m not selling. But it is not Cheap at these prices by any measure.

Those incorrect people quoting that Apple is down in iPhone sales in China are flat out wrong. They base the opinion on a ridiculous report by a third party company that was reporting shipments NOT sales. They should have waited until Apple reported 1st quarter sales on May 2nd. On the conference call Tim Cook pointed out that iPhone sales in China were actually up.

@jakejoyride ----- 30% is a total BS number by a third party data firm quoting shipments and not sales. On the May 2nd conference call Tim Cook indicated that sales of iPhones in China were up by single digit percent. It's amazing to me how many people fall for stats that have Zip to do with sales. LOL

Tell this “analyst” to look at company financials as opposed to “moving day averages”. Where was MSFT’s “moving day average” 5 years ago? As if growth has a ceiling! Pathetic. APPL is DOWN over 2 years.
