Get a good SUV wirh 4x4 and skidplate off road package if you can. Then install a good quality set of LED driving lights to illuminate the road and the shoulders. The factory will mount some cheap set of quiet highway tires so replace them with good rugged all Terrains. Otherwise you'll get flats and sliding around in the slush.
@@ms.annthrope415 I wish I could've, but I grabbed the dreaded PT Cruiser. I like it got it last week. Used it to pass my driver's test. Will try to get the stuff you recommended though. Cause I'm definitely doing some fun night riding.
I love these kinds of roads. Wish i had a truck though, my car can't make it through the real sketchy stuff. I have had to turn around so many times. Why did i not buy a truck... lol
I have a Ford F250 6.7 diesel, FX4 package (4xr plus skid plates) and 4x4 Hi, 4x4 Low, and locking differentials. I love going down roads like this exploring. I have 4 large LED driving lights mounted in front of the bumpers so I can turn night into day. But it also takes a good set of all terrain tires to churn through snow, dirt, mud, and gravel confidently. And I had recently mounted a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss All Terrains. They are very aggressive and made for roads like this and much worse.
@@ms.annthrope415 That sounds like a really fun toy. Lol. I would be out in that thing all the time.. doubt i will be able to afford a rig like that anytime soon.
I want to share coordinates with you. View it in the onX Offroad app here: onxoffroad.app.link/WhBSpphDkEb If you use onX offroad this will help too! If you don't have onX Offroad I highly recommend it!
I'm about to buy my first car or truck soon. I can't wait for nighttime drives like this.
