Thanks for profiling Sequoia NP. It's often overshadowed by Yosemite. I often tell people that Sequoia/Kings Canyon is a great alternative to the often overcrowded Yosemite. Those giant sequoias are awe inspiring. You don't really comprehend how big they are until you're standing in front of one and to think they're over 1,000 years old... wow! You're right, what big trees did we lose from logging and how big were they? It's sad to think about that.
I live in Canada and have wanted to see the Red Woods and Sequoia trees since watching Disney's, The Gnome Mobile, as a little girl. It would be fascinating to see these giants in person. It makes me sad and angry to hear some of them get cut down. They've survived from fires and landslides, floods, but cut down by greedy men.
As a Teenager, I spent a week climbing Mt. Whitney from one side to the other. It was quite a trip and memories from spending time with my late father. Thanks for sharing.
Yo Carter, Carter here. Cool new series! If you run out of parks, there are plenty of amazing National shore lines to cover too. Cough, cough, picture rocks In Michigan for example.
Love this park. Love 3 rivers outside it. We lived in socal for years and would go up there for snow for years. You can't appreciate it until you see it, just like the grand canyon. Pictures just don't do it justice
Love this series! Although currently based in Chicago, I’m from East Tennessee originally and would love to hear your take on Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
People realize that ski lodges/resorts ruin everything around them. To the point that a failed attempt to build one prompted people to make the area a park so it could NEVER happen again
You could have picked a picture of Mount Whitney from the Sequoia National Park side. 6:20 View from Kearsarge Pass looking into Kings Canyon NP 6:45 Trail Camp area, East of the park under Whitney
wow glad disney didnt build a park up there that would have been a disaster for the sequoias all those tourists its bad enought now even without a theme park

Hey Man I’m a big big fan especially since I can’t travel 😅, are you still continuing the US explained ??
@@AlijahLivehe is still doing the US Explained, but the amount of research required for those videos means they take a while to come out.
@@aarims9212 i totally understand 🙏, I wish I knew how to do half of what he does

Wish you had done Mackinac, America's second designated national park and why it was decommissioned.
Definitely enjoying the parks! Thank you for your content!
Yes Carter, please do more national park videos. I love visiting NPs! I have been to 23 so far and I hope to add to that list in the near future.
Really enjoying this series. Great work.
one of your best shows yet - thx
I love the national parks videos, ill watch either as soon as i realize they're out. Make what works for you, ill keep watching.
Hope you keep up this series
It blows my mind that anyone would want to cut down such other-worldly trees.
And they called the natives savages...
Exactly, to both of your comments. The real savages were definitely the Europeans, for sure.
Hope this will be a new series that can be completed over time!
Excellent video. Thanks sharing. 💕

That is interesting.
Ah he got me...
People realize that ski lodges/resorts ruin everything around them. To the point that a failed attempt to build one prompted people to make the area a park so it could NEVER happen again
Make one for every national park and then go on and make one for every single unit of the NPS. Please!
TIS is proof of quality over quantity content

I've taken a couple dozen from that side I could send you...
Ask me most anything on Yosemite geography... I was looking deep into the park from a high Eastern pass the other day.
