- In this video, I start to diagnose and repair the operation of the convertible top on Sharon's 2005 R52. I fear it may need a total rebuild, but I am taking it one step at a time.

I just gave my daughter my 2013 convertible roadster and I did window weld w the v primer but I need to get hers new top. The mini dealer says it costs $7k and I think I can do it myself 😀

Hello, I have a mini r52 and it doesn't close completely by about 5mm, and it opens but in the end the windows don't close and the red light flashes, can you help me how to fix this? Thanks
First, check the micro switches on the rear shelf, and locking latch. Then cycle your windows and hold the button in the down and up position for an extra 10 seconds. If your windows operate correctly, try to open the roof. You may need to clear any codes on the convertible top module. Hope that works or is at least a start.

It cost over $5k to get a new top installed at the dealership
I've never priced it but, I can imagine it being that much. I will get the parts and do the work myself if we ever need one. Thanks for watching.
