*UPDATE: I will be pulling this video down soon. I have created a new version with full updated artwork. It will be uploaded as a new video soon. I also have a few more Alex Chilton records slated for upload in the near future. Please be sure to subscribe to catch it as soon as it drops.*
If you're putting this back up in the future, may I suggest you put up the (original) US edition of the album, which has a slightly altered track listing, and is consequently (slightly) better. You don't need a Peabody original, but Line, who issued the copy you've got up now, were a German company who licensed stuff for the continental european market. They had the rights to some of the early 80's Fall stuff, too, which, identically to Like Flies on Sherbet, they issued in what always seemed to me to be an inappropriate white vinyl.

Infamous and almost beyond criticism...I find this to be as close to what Punk might really be like. Like the Modern Lovers first lp got even sloppier lol don'tcha wish you were as loaded as AC back then ???
Indeed. And I love that first Modern Lovers album :) Around this time (I think), he also produced The Cramps . That was a surprise to me at the time, but looking back it's all so clear now.
Merci pour cette mise à disposition ! J'aime beaucoup Alex Chilton pour son inspiration et son style. Mais pour les arrangements et la production c'est loin d'être ça.
The first time I heard this album I didn't like it. Don't know what the hell was wrong with me cause it's so freakin' good! Now one of my favorites. In competition only with other Alex Chilton music. Why was he so amazing?
@@stanleycadkinsgrammynomine9573 I'm just someone who adores Alex Chilton. Unfortunately, I didn't know him and I never got the chance to see him live but I'm a huge fan of his music. That's awesome you got to work with him.
@@stanleycadkinsgrammynomine9573 I was just about to ask you if you would share some of the music with me 😊 Thank you so much! I was checking out your music as well and I really enjoy it.
@@stanleycadkinsgrammynomine9573 I help out with an Alex Chilton page on Facebook. Several of his other friends/colleagues are members. We'd love to have you join if you're interested. Ours is the private group with about 1.6K members.

Bring it on brother...........Thumbs up / Subscribed
One of my favourite albums of all time. It is exactly how rock music is meant to be, spontaneous and from the heart.
1979 ....and many blind to Alex
This is great! Reminds me of when I saw The 101ers!
This album represents Alex's art as much as Big Star or Box Tops. I look to this album as ROOTS music and one of his best!
Alex drawing on his Memphis roots....this is great stuff....
I love this album already! What a great discovery!
I never even heard of this album before today. It’s a good album.
Now go make your life complete & listen to "Bach's Bottom"....... No, seriously
its a memphis classic
According to Alex's biography, the original title for this album was to be "Like Flies on Shit". But, the record co. said "Alex...."
Love this album!
