O general mai has leakage ke problem hai mere pass do unit thi unme yeh he dekat thi har hafte gas leak rahate thi service bhi kuch khaas nahi hai electicity bill bhi jada hai features bhi nahi hai quality tho bhul he jao fir ISS daaba ke liye humse 40 k se jada paise kyu lete hai pata nahi

Actually O-General reliability and durability is very, very good. You just need to find good service people in your locality(only as a back-up). My neighbor has 3 split AC over last 12-14 years+. 2 ACs were from O general and 1 from LG. The LG one was fine for first 4 years and afterwards broke down like 5 times in the 5th year (one main reason mentioned was our place has high humidity, high heat and sea breeze etc). Extreme environments messes most ACs EXCEPT O-General.
Meanwhile, the two O-General split ACs he never had any problem in the 14 year plus just gives very good cooling even today. I have a window model O-General which in its 20th year and still going strong. The General is definitely Amazing. If you dont have plans to use for more than 8-10 hours per day then go for O-general split non inverter AC. Brother, I think in your case the problem is with your installation guy and this can happen to any AC (ACs like O general, Mitsubishi are imported ones). Thanks for sharing.

Bro OG is the best but if u have to pay installation fee, i personally recomend u to get it installed by outsider technician as per ur convineance and enjoy the cooling. I am using OG from 2 years it is the best

Non Inverter Ac is better as now days PCB problems are coming in inverter models which cannot be repaired properly.
so 1.5 ton ka ac jo non inverter hai around 1100 se 1200 units per year consume karega but safe and peace of mind hoga

maine o general laga rakha hai air bahut khus bhi hu.pahli baat ac lene se pahle apne yahan uska service check karo jo maine bhi kiya tha aur aaj tak khus hu service check karna bahut muskil kam to hai nai maine service wale se pucha 2 se 3 sal pahle ka koi installed customer batao usne bata diya usme se 1 mere jaan pahchan ka nikla usne bola service technician bahut achcha hai to maine o general le liya kyunki hum customer ko company nai service technician se jayda matlab hota hai chahe company koi bhi ho

Mai General Ka Ek Purana customer Hun. Mere pass Ek 2010 Ka 2 ton Ka window AC hai Aur Ek 2016 Ka 1.5 ton 3 star split General Ka hi hai.
Split badhia chal raha hai , outdoor unit 8 meter upar terrace PE hai, Koi extra gas Nahi 1550 watt power consumption PE chalta hai.
Lekin mere window AC ki condenser coil shayad choke ho gayi ya Koi problem Aa gayi jissey cooling Nahi Rahi....
Service Centre wale bhale aadmi Hain , technician Se Baat karai....mujhe Maloom Nahi ki wo condenser coil copper me hai ya aluminum me....lekin mujhe bataya ki iski Koi manufacturing unit India me hai Nahi to saman mil to Jaayega lekin 4-6 hafte Bhi lag sakte Hain lekin ban sab Jaayega. Bill approximately 15,000/- plus Ka hone ki ummeed Batai...Maine Usko nikal Ke Rakh Liya Aur voltas 2 ton lagwa Liya.

In Delhi, Split AC installation cost is like below
Installation - Rs1500
Uninstallation - Rs 500
Cost of Copper Coil - Rs 250 per foot (not metre)
Cost of Wire - 120 Rs per metre
Cost of angle brackets, on which you mount the outdoor unit - Rs 1050
Drainpipe - 70Rs per foot.
Fo Window AC - Rs 500 (plus GST)
Uninstallation - Rs 200
The Split AC installation cost is very high compared with Window AC. You can end up paying up to 10,000 Rs depending on how far your outdoor unit can be.
For O general AC, all dealer says that it comes from Thailand blah blah, but if you see closely on the unit, it says Made in PRC, i.e. People Republic of China. I don't know what's the connection of Thailand with O general. Baaki kuch time ke baad ki pata chalta hai kaun sa AC kaisa hai. I have purchased O General for the first time, so far it's good but 2-3 seasons ke baad hi asliyat pata chalegi. Also, it depends on how much you use. Agar bina care ke use karengey to chahe kitna bhi premium lelo, ek din jawaab de dega.
In my case, too, the engineer did stand on an external unit, and I objected to it. They are always casual on this, but you have to make sure that they aren't.
I don't know about vestar and sharp as I haven't used their ACs

Meh neh apna AC Hitachi ka 2013 meh liya tha or ab 2021 ki summer aa gayi meh neh aaj tak Gas nahi bhar vaayi and same cooling aaj bhi hai.. even after 9 years AC is working fine, Hitachi is best

Never Ever Make joints anywhere. This might cause leakage in future. Install with a full length gas pipe & full length wire. NO JOINTS.

Heneràl is also using rotary compressors which are not suitable for Delhi temp. Try any ac with receprocatimg compressor. Even local will do miracle In This heat.

Guessing by what i hear, they did not vaccume the refregerant line to -1 bar which is a requirement, secondly there can be a leak at the connection at the indoor unit,which has to be glue soldered.The technicians are clearly unqualified just mimicking what they have seen, not really learnt about air conditioners.

Using OGener split AC since 2012.use it non stop for at least 8 hours a day No problem till to date. Wrong to compare OGeneral to products like vestar or Sharp.The closest competitor would be Mitsubishi speaking of quality. If I am required to buy another Ac in future it would definitely be Ogeneral. I currently use 3 acs .2 by Ogeneral 1 by Panasonic. Ogeneral is in a class of its own as it is the most premium air conditioner available in Indian market

bro using O General ac, i hav used a lot of others before but none can beat o general.. the fastest cooling ever. service is good. i called them once to report an issue(which later on turned out to b not even closely related to the ac) and they immediately provided the company's service guy and called back if its get checked. so please make sure u get the proper installation and other things before making the video.. ur guy was using ac as a stool and u were just making the video. if he was stupid that doesn't mean that u shud act stupid too. when i installed my ac i told the guy donot harm or put any dent or do any kind of mishandling with the unit. i strictly warned him.

Sir, I also have had a horrific experience with the service of O'General. I bought their AC in 2012 with extended warranty. It worked fine for the first year but the next year it stopped working properly. And I had to face the music afterwards. Pathetic is the least you can say about their service standards.

I have a 10 year old Ogeneral(Please its called Fujitsu General / ETA General) running strong without any gas topup/change, only full water wash indoor and outdoor directly in home with pressure pump every 2 years. brings to 24 degrees in 15 min. Fully Mechanical, No Inverter, Runs non-stop, has the minimal protection of OverLoadProtection(OLP) in compressor thats it, and a temperature sensor where the indoor to outdoor wires are connected, to switch off if overheat due to loose connection and prevent fire. Room Temp, Pipe Temp sensors, thats all. I have more than 5 Ogeneral AC's running since years without any complaint, the service depends on the service center you choose, the rapport you develop with them, having tech things we need to have basic knowledge before buying / using them to ensure life of the product. just because you want a cold room, you buy ac and leave it without maintenance any ac will fail. in my case the outdoor unit compressor refused to start after 8 years of non stop use, the dust filled coils due to recent restaurant releasing smoke nearby clogged it all, washing it solved it and back to full performance. if you have no idea then the tech person will scam you to buy a new ac telling some lame reason.
I need to buy another ac for hall, now the same people who sold me Ogeneral are saying to go for vestar saying its a sister brand, but i doubt its quality as i have discovered that the PCB's etc are commonly shared among many other brands like Lloyd, etc. also the throw doesnt seem to be like FUTC series, if you are the dealer, please elaborate.
