Awwww! Thank you so, so much! I'm so glad that you found time to make this one. It's o ne of my favorites! And now you know a bazillion different ways to make pockets! LOL Happy crafting, Catherine!
I'm finally getting to watch this. Love the box style, but was hoping to see you fill Renea's shaker :) I hope this is a series you'll continue this year. Happy New Year, and hope you'll share lots more of your creativity with us :).
Thanks, Jess! This is not a shaker box from Renea...it is a frame that I turned into a shaker box. I've done tutorials before on how to do that step, so did not repeat here. I've never made one of her shaker boxes.
oh my...thank you so much for this wonderful gift!! First time I have been able to sit down to catch up on my videos...maybe I'll actually get this made for Christmas 2020. I'm thinking I would have to start now!! So many gorgeous projects I have seen over the last month....been praying for a cold, snowy winter up in Canada but it hasn't happened. Yet :)
Thank you, Cheryl! I know the holiday season was really busy! I fell behind, too. You could easily use this project as winter home decor since it is not specifically Christmas. I love this paper collection! Hope you get the snow you are wishing for! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this most interesting, and informative, tutorial! You make all sorts of pockets look so easy that even I will be able to make them. I learned that box pocket from one of your Fall tutorials...it worked on my Halloween folio for the grands! I took the folio to a local scrapbook store and was asked if I'd be interested in teaching a folio class. I was so honored to think that the owner thought I really knew what I was doing...but, after creating just one box pocket, I wasn't confident enough to give directions to a class of eager students. I need a few more under my belt before I would consider teaching. Your confidence is, obviously, front and center! Thank you so much, Kathy! You are such an inspiration for so many of us! The cover on this folio is gorgeous...it's the drama of that snowflake frame that really makes a difference! Nice choice. I'll definitely be coming back to this video to refresh pocket techniques. Thanks for this lovely Christmas gift! With all that you are doing, that you can find enough hours in the day, to add in surprises, just amazes me! Time to simmer some Christmas potpourri and get back to creating last minute Christmas cards. Christmas joys to one and all!
Thanks, Martie! This was my last big effort before Christmas. Now I'm hanging up my scissors and putting on my apron until after the holiday. I have lots of fun planned with the Littles and with our extended family as well. I'm so glad you found some tips and tricks that you can use in this video. And what an exciting opportunity for you to be asked to teach a class! You go, girl! If you do use one of my folio designs for your class, I just ask that you refer people back to my channel or blog as part of my copyright agreement with my followers. I hope this works out for you, and I hope you have a warm and wonderful Christmas holiday! Hugs, my friend!
@@kathyclementkathybydesign That I learned enough to put out a quality product is testament to the fact that you are such a good teacher, Kathy! Rest assured that I will always give credit where credit is due, which is what I immediately pointed out...not my original idea. the only piece of originality was to adapt the size of pages. I doubt that I will ever accept the invitation to teach paper crafting. I really don't like doing all the prep work that seems to come with teaching paper crafting classes in a shop. In this chapter of my life, I've become rather lazy! Enjoy making Christmas memories with your family...Happy Holly to all!
Thank you so much, Katie! It's all those years homeschooling! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial, and I hope you find joy in creating this lovely little folio. Love and hugs!
Hello, Betty! Thank you so much! I think you will have fun making this...but warning...they are addictive! LOL I have such fun designing these, and I'm happy to share here. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Hi Kathy, I'm a newbie to your channel and I just subscribed. I love this card/folio. These are the types of projects I love to make along with interactive cards. Will be making this one for sure. Your instructions are easy enough to follow as well. Will also be going to check your other videos for inspiration. TYFS
Hello, Claire! I'm so glad you found me! I do a lot of projects like this one and I adore interactive cards, so I think we are going to be good crafty buddies! Thanks so much for watching! I look forward to getting to know you. Happy crafting!
Great tutorial Kathy-nice but easy to make. Thanks for the inspiration. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Look forward to the new year and all your wonderful projects.
I love it! Your decorated box is so so pretty and thank you very much for the gifted tutorial! I like your "challenge" of taking a 12 x 12 pad and fitting that into a smaller project.
Thank you so much, Cassie! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It really is fun for me...like working a puzzle, which I also enjoy. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Thanks, Anne! I was so excited the first time I made one of these, and now I can't stop making them! LOL I hope you enjoy the tutorial! Merry Christmas, my friend!
Your time is appreciated. Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us. QUESTION: Do you always apply the glue to the pieces the way you did or do you have a different application when not doing a tutorial??
Thank you so much, Gracie! It really does take a chunk of time to make one of these tutorials, but I get such joy when my followers have fun making them. As to the glue bottle, I assume you are referring to the way I hold it? Yes, I have a little thumb arthritis, and that grip on the bottle does not aggravate it, so that's my new normal hold. Is that what you were wondering about? Merry Christmas!
Great tutorial! I am thinking of making a keepsake box with places for photos as a baby gift. I think I can replace the middle deep pocket with a box or a slideout box from a sleeve. What do you think? Thanks again and Merry Christmas.
Thank you! I"ve never tried that, but I don't see why it would not work as long as you leave enough room for the spine to fit over it! Go for it! And let me know how it goes!
Thank you for showing us how to make these gorgeous folios! You're so generous sharing your ideas and what you make is really stunning. 💐💌
You're so welcome, Helen! I hope the ideas I share here help you in your crafty adventures! Thanks for the sweet words!
I had to come back and comment again and tell you I followed your tutorial and had so much fun making this! Thank you so much!!
