    How do you set up quickbooks invoices to charge the fees back to the customer when they use the credit card? I have been hit with some hefty fees here and I am sure others would love to have that option. I looked through and there is not option for this that I can find. Hoping someone gets this option asap!

    • @hullstone
      @hullstone  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, quickbooks does not offer charging the processing fees to your customers. This has been asked in the community forums for years now with no luck. Their suggestion always ends up being create a service item for Processing Fees and manually add it to each invoice as a line item.

      I do not believe there is a say to print the invoice and mail it with a payment link. A work around could be to select save and share link at the bottom right, and then copy the payment link in the memo field but it is a long link

    Can you add a payment link to a statement? How do you make QB not record the payment as a sale?

    • @hullstone
      @hullstone  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What do you mean by linking the payment link to a statement?
      If you are creating the link via an invoice in quickbooks there is no way to not record it as a sale.
      I'm not sure I can adequately answer your question without knowing your specific situation. Please provide more info on what you are trying to accomplish.

    Quickbooks online support said they don’t offer payment links to receive payment so we have to connect to a third party app. Did you connect to a third party app to get your payment link available? If yes is it the Square I saw or a different third party app?

    • @hullstone
      @hullstone  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In the bottom right hand corner of the invoice where you normally save and send or save and close, click the arrow and choose save and send link. This will allow you to copy the payment link for the invoice. Hope this helps!

    • @hullstone

      Yes! Once you have QuickBooks Payments set up, if you go to the Gear icon>Account and Settings>Sales>Invoice Payments, you will be able to set your default desired payment options. In your case, just turn both Accept Credit Cards and Accept ACH "On" by clicking the pencil icon to update. Make sure you hit Save! Hope this helped

      Check the App section to see if there is an App that integrates Vital and QBO. if there is not, you will need to pull sales reports from the Vital POS system and post them manually to QBO at your desired frequency.

    • @hullstone

      No, unfortunately quickbooks does not have a way to send the authorization form. You'll have to send the authorization form and get it signed outside of quickbooks. Once signed, you can check the box in quickbooks that you have authorization to charge the card or debit ACH.

    • @hullstone

      Unfortunately, no, intuit has not made this function available. I have read in forums that it is something the developers are considering to add, but with no specific time frame on when it will be available. That response from them was over a year ago. The only way to charge the processing fee in an invoice is to manually type in the amount.

    Hey MAC so we recently purchased a credit card reader for our business using quickbook payments. At first we thought this process was very seamless but now we seem to have a negative accounts recievable, how do I fix this ?

    • @hullstone
      @hullstone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This means you are recording that you are receiving more cash than you have recorded in sales. This could happen for a couple of reasons. Unfortunately, without seeing your unique situation it's hard to know how to fix it but if I had to guess the negative amount is the amount of the fees?
      Make sure this is your set up moving forward: If you go into account and settings, then go to the deposit accounts section, make sure the bank account that deposits are going to is set up properly here. Then if you set up that same bank account in the banking section by linking your account, you should be able to just match the transactions and everything should tie moving forward. If you are still having issues, feel free to give us a call for a free consultation and we can help you clean it up. Our number is 609-236-8783.
