  • Hello again, as promised here some interesting stuff that might revolutionize some of the alternative photography processes.
I was impressed by cyanotypes but after a while it became too much work, too much wait and way too much blue colors. I was always wishing to discover something better using the Ferric ammonium citrate that can produce different colors. Luckily I stumbled on a paper by Charles Guerin on a 19th century process called CHIBA LEIMDRUCK or fish glue citrate and decided to try it. The fish glue is hard to get in the US and I have no time to make some so I decided to use hide glue instead and to my surprise it worked great. Two weeks later I was still testing with different papers and proportions to get the right formula but it was so frustrating in getting steady and repeatable results I almost gave up. But tonight (or early this morning, I haven't slept yet, need to take the garbage out before 8) I got an idea and I tested it and to my surprise again it worked. I am very impressed and excited to share with you these findings. The Ingredients and details will follow in a next video if you are interested. Have a great weekend.

Well, this is the most amazing example of photographic obsession I've seen lately. 😸 As I watched you laying out your tests like a card dealer in a Monte Carlo casino, I was think "Yep. This is the difference between a happy amateur and a genuinely committed craftsman.
    No - thank YOU! 🌻😎🌻

Thank you, I am just an amateur who is amazed by the magic of photography. The displayed photos are part of this week's experiments that I have done trying to get something out of the ordinary. When I almost gave up because of the mediocre results an idea came to my mind, I tried it and it worked the first time. So excited I said I need to share my excitement right away. I believe it is going to be nice. I will post my findings and details soon.

In 2009 I got some fish glue for Chiba process in the US. Have to find the address. At that time I lived in NH.

Okay, Habib - I know you've been talking about this on the FaceBook group, but you REALLY need to write out those steps and what you used... is that your pigment you're spraying on? This is awesome...

@@saidanehabib Excellent! As soon as I saw what you were doing that was my first thought: "He's spraying his pigment on!" because I saw that when you pulled the print from under the glass there was just a ghost image... :) ... you're going to have to share before the FB group goes crazy! :D
