I spotted this house years ago but never stopped and checked it out until today. The house is on a very busy road near a busy town so I’m very surprised the house is not vandalized. I chose not to film the full names and exterior of the house to help to avoid people recognizing the house and coming here to vandalize and steal.
Melville and Len were married for over 60 years. They were hard working farmers. Melville passed away in 2000 and her husband Len passed away a year later at the age of 89. All of their belongings have been sitting here ever since. The house is near new development so I’m assuming they will build new homes on this property one day.

    About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

I love explorers like this guy, who won't post footage or shots of the outside of the house, if they think that it will make the property easy to identify, and then become a magnet for vandals - good work, and very ethical. Unfortunately, people DO watch these kinds of videos, and if they can work out where it is, they will go and steal things or just plain vandalize. There is a special place in Hell for vandals. Destruction with no sense of reason or logic, just destroying for the sake of destroying. Vandals make me sick.

I look at those old curtains that go all the way back to the 40's and 50's. You'd think they would rot off the rods. One reason that I don't horde is that I want to make it easier for my kids. Too much means that kids will be overwhelmed.

Those should mean something. Thanks for taking us with you. Don't worry about where you have a hard time going - it's more important to stay safe and in-tact!
In these places, most of them look like places where an older couple spent their final years. I often wonder when looking at the stuff left behind as to which partner was left alone at the end, as they rarely pass or leave at the same time.

It was overwhelming to pack up / so much left behind. She had farm receipts from 50 years before when they were tenant farmers but it was interesting to look and find things like that. She had letters packed away from Dad that he wrote when he was in the war, a lot of good memories but no way could any one keep all the stuff left behind.

HOW COULD THEIR CHILDREN LEAVE THEIR PARENTS HOME TO ROT AWAY LIKE THIS? The Pictures...........the keepsakes.........the memories............so WRONG.

Amazing the stuff family members will leave behind. You are very respectful of the couple that lived here. Stuff wise went to a similar place recently. Don't think I ever stepped on the floor. Another great video.

Clothes, glasses and personal item's get to me the most. The wife was probably the backbone of this home and when she passed i reckon her husband lost all interest in everything. It's sad when all you become is a memory. Peacocks are supposed to be unlucky in a home I'm not sure why. Looked liked kid's wooden seats with the bears faces, you skimmed past them up in the corner will have another look later.Neat explore cheers.

At around 23 minute mark I saw an alarm clock I used to have, at one point the speaker on it stopped working so I wired the speaker from an old intercom unit in its place. The damn clock became a terror that could wake the dead or give you a heart attack so you could join the ranks.

How sad the government just lets these houses sit , I am sure that if in the beginning they put it out there - someone would have loved to live there ! Soon the whole government as we know it , will be gone !
