  • **Big snook are the last half of the video. We don't 'revive' them in the water as sharks are incredibly dangerous in these parts in the muddy water, so we must just launch them in the water to get them moving with a good push**
Capt. Rick Stanczyk walks us through two days of incredible fishing in Mid September here in the Florida Keys. The weather slicked out, a 'slicker' as Capt. Rick likes to call it, which often leads to some incredible fishing opportunities. Rick fished with Mark and Jimmy one day and had great action with tarpon, lots of smaller snook, and even saw some permit later in the day they weren't able to capitalize on but did get a nice jack crevelle. The following day Capt. Rick was out with his dad Richard and they went hunting for snookzilla, the largest snook we see in the Islamorada/southern everglades areas. They got lucky and landed 4 big snook up to 20 lbs or so. Check out the action here.

Beat me to it. That's the one thing that stood out on this video. Nice fish, great weather but it doesn't mean a thing if you aren't watching out for Dad. He's done a great job of raising you boys.

Thanks Mike, great idea I was thinking of doing tours of the different boats. I'll likely start working on that - stay tuned!

Love how you and Nick spend time with your Dad fishing, it's obvious he loves fishing and spending time with his boys, you can see his proud of his boys. I notice when tarpin is caught they are released, is it illegal to catch them or are the not a good eating fish. Blessings to you and family

Thank you yes great to spend the with dad! Tarpon are sport fish, not good to eat and is illegal to harvest in florida. But a lot of people love to catch them. Thanks for watching 👍
