Religion aside, every child ask their father of what they need and the father decides to grant request. So I see no problem asking so long it's not against God's will. And may I also tell you that if you are constantly under Pastor Adeboye teachings coupled with the missions work he indulges in worldwide, you will realize that his emphasis is first on Jesus' words in Matthew 6-7- equipping the saints for soul winning; and fruits are following.
I'm not a member of Pastor Adeboye's church but I've come to realize that what is done in secret causes public recognition (Matthew 6) and this public recognition can be misunderstood by others.
