yea, you might even be able to help the stage crew setup the lights so that things are properly distributed along each of the phases, more even light and possibly less flicker if it is balanced, looks to me like 3 phase 220v, so every section of lights should be in multiples of 3 and spread across each phase, that way there will be 180Hz of light coming from one particular spot. Super cool stuff to see and think about in slow-mo that most people dont even know it exists.
@@jakea563 Calculate the area in which all 3000 hit, calculate average density of strikes, number of bounces high enough to get above the rim, and average horizontal travel. Australia's electricity is generated at 50 hertz of alternating current per second. That means it starts at zero, rises to its peak voltage, returns to zero, reverses direction, rises to peak voltage, returns to zero to complete one cycle. The generators do this 50 times a second. That also means that the average light has its voltage rise, fall, reverse direction, rise, fall 50 times a second. Which means the light goes from brightest to dimmest twice every cycle or 100 times a second. The Phantom camera was catching that dimming and brightening of the lights (flickering) as the electricity went through its cycling and made the rise and fall of voltage obvious by making the flickering of the lights easy to see. That shows how fast the Phantom camera was taking pictures of the scene and how good it is at capturing light in order to get good pictures. This is the first time I have seen this particular aspect of a Phantom camera's capability and it is nothing short of impressive.
15:02 Actually are absolutely correct! (Most) Asteroids aren't actually a big clump of rock, but more like an incredible amount of fine particulate all loosely held together by their own gravity. If such an asteroid would enter Earth's atmosphere, it would look exactly like this. The main mass would keep going as if it were a solid block, but the outer edges peel off and get dragged away due to aerodynamic drag.

The last slowy alone was worth it, but damn, the amount of space that would take on your storage, in stunning quality too. :)
My cats were SO excited to get the ping pong balls with my merch purch! Corrinna and Molly say THANK YOU from the USA and keep the great content coming!
I love that I can just come to this channel and smile even when I'm having the worst days!!! Thank u guys so much #WeAreTheCup #Godbless🙏💜
Run and dive by Stamford looked like heaps of fun 🙌
The 100,000 drop looked exactly like a microburst in a thunderstorm, the bulbous front, the impact and spreading out. It's like you did a computer model with each ping pong ball being a particle in the simulation. Brilliant.
That was so good, the way they all went out in a large circle like that was so satisfying, as was the thump when they hit the ground!! Super excited for you to try this with bouncy balls, make sure you get the BOUNCIEST balls you can find! It'll be so epic! 😜
6:10 right in there 👍
No official record but still going in my history book as one of my favorites!!!
man being a youtuber really does give you a lot of opportunities 😂
You're married to your channel and you must produce scheduled content. Ya it may look like fun but there is a lot of commitment, planning, work etc that goes along with it. Creator burnout is real and you always have to come up with new ideas.
More arena-roof dropping videos! Much fun!
“Thank you for calling Paul’s Ping Pong Balls, how may I help you?
“Hey, can I get an order of ping pong balls”
“Sure, how many would you like”
“Umm, how about all of them”
"We are just gonna chuck a handful (of pingpong balls) in for free"
I hope we all died laughing there, just crazy
I like the design it made
13:25 imagine it got stuck on top of the metal thingy, that would've took them days!! to find the green ping pong ball
13:05 I saw this and immediately thought: A dragon breathing out a big fireball
It was GORGEOUS!
made me thought of like an orange juice ad
At 9:55 I felt like I entered hyperspace in ping pong ball universe 👀
12:56 - Wow, wow, wow. That slow-mo drop shot from below is absolute amazing.
What a vid boys!!! How good!
You guys should get some kind of tool to measure the impact of the crazy stuff that gets dropped! Loved the vid keep it up boys!
beautiful demonstration of fluid dynamics without simulating it
