    I don’t like cantilevering the scope off the barrel for bench work. This might be good enough for beer can accuracy. Best to drill, tap and mount bases to the receiver for a more sturdy scope mounting system. Nice looking rifle

      Thanks. I agree with you on the cantilever style mounts. I had my reservations about mounting the rail to the barrel, but has been a solid set up. I have ran this set up in 2 matches with zero issues. Shot a 191-5x and 192-8x with this set up and SK Rifle Match. The wind has played a bigger role.

    Some 1411's have the 11mm dovetail front and rear. My 1974 have both.

      Correct. It is the earlier 1411s that only had the single dove tail.
