I listened to that album for a looong time. I learned all the songs and you nailed it, voice..and all. I had that vocal register ' back in the day ', so we covered 5 of Neil's songs while touring. Hearing you sing/play this song was gold. 🥇
I love this song so much, it was my introduction to Neil Young, in American Beauty, one of my favourite films. After the trauma of retuning it was surprisingly easy to learn. It's bring the proper weight to this song. This will bring it out from a well executed performance transcending it to the true message of the song. Watch Neil on the old tapes.
