They say the right dealer makes all the difference, and in this case, the dealer is almost as significant as the car! It's cool enough to imagine walking into your local Dodge dealer and ordering up a brand-new 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T complete with a 425 HP 426 Hemi under the hood, but when the car was bought at Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago, the whole experience is even cooler. Mr. Norm Krauss was all about selling high performance, and his legendary Dodge dealer not only sold these bad machines, but they also modified, tuned, and raced 'em themselves! This particular car from the Brothers Collection is the stuff of legends... triple black, 426 Hemi, pistol-grip 4-speed, Super Trak Pak 4.10:1 Dana 60 rear, and a bill of sale from Grand Spaulding. Too cool.

I'd rather have a early 70's muscle car than a new one.

Amen. Can't work on the new ones yourself anymore unless you're a computer genius

Modern vehicles are better in many ways but I prefer to work on my own car so I know it's getting done the right way. And I can't do that anymore with today's vehicles. They design them that way on purpose so you have no choice but to go spend big bucks at a dealership instead of being able to fix it yourself. For a guy who doesn't have money falling out of his asshole, I'll take a well maintained older car any day of the week. Also the pickup trucks they build today can't take nearly the beating that the older ones could. Metal can only be recycled so many times before it loses it's strength and durability. I could probably punch a hole through the fender of a new car, but would break my hand doing the same to an older vehicle

That's because people did what the wanted back then. Nobody was getting hurt, just having fun. Today everything is regulated. You can't even smile today without it being govt. regulated.

Someone needs to buy the dealership property, restore it as a speed shop and work out a contract to use Mr. Norm's name (or put him in charge, the dude clearly knows his stuff)

Maybe Grave Yard Cars can move in? But hears a thought, Can one park a car at night in that part of town like Hemi cars and find them still in the morning unmolested?

just speculating here..but it might have been that so many people in those days bought these cars and had already planned on putting some cragars on or american racing mags

Yes, I truly dislike after-market wheels. I will never understand why anyone would do that.

Does someone know what are these wheels/rims called? These give the car a pair for sure.

the old challenger size, shape and stance are so much superior to the new one..no matter what they do to tart up the new variant,it still looks lame
