Fantastic exchange with your listeners!!! You care about what you are charing vs. just going through the podcast, THANG. You're always making perfect sense out of a topic and then arriving at solutions from several different eye opening ways to look at it!!!!! Thanks brother
Saw the lick video you referenced and that brought me to this one. My father taught me my first song on guitar back when I was so young my fingers wouldn't reach the A and low E strings. (In the early 1960's.) He bought me a chord book and I picked up a few songs he would play but never made a lot of progress over the years. One day about 20 years ago I was playing and for some reason I asked myself, "This is a C. I know it is a C but what makes it a C." Found the answer and then kept asking these types of questions. I started trying to solo a bit and the question was always what notes do I target. This is a great explanation on that. Thanks! I really wish there had been something like TH-cam videos way back then.
What I like to do is spend an hr. doing basics like fretboard memoriztion, triads and arpeggio's, then I pick a lesson that teaches a riff or lick. That way I feel like I accomplished something and it feeds my enthusiasm. Thanks for the great lessons Lee. I appreciate it.
Your teaching method is a breath of fresh air.. thank you, I too tend to flit between videos but not yours from now on... your videos sound just what I've needed to learn to play blues 😊

That's great, Harvey! Keep asking WHY, and this will all make sense. Thanks for playing along!

Right on, I am guilty of this, cherry picking videos as you said, learning by tab but not really understanding what i am doing.

Wow, thank you!
Awesome man. Great idea for the podcast.
A complete 12 bar course example would have been good. However the focus on the key notes makes great sense
thanks a lot brother
you are the best at all
God bless you
Hey, Juan! Thanks for the kind words! Best to you, my friend
