What’s this guitar!!!!! And this studio is absolutely AMAZING… plus, the playing.. the artist of the moment I would say, despite the atomization of the speach and knowledge. This is an Unbelievable work!
I listen to this at least once every workday. Of around the 10 to 12 interpretations of Scarlatti K.113 that I have heard on piano, harpsichord, guitar, ... this is by far my favorite. I especially like the "bounce" between the high and low lines.
0:51 - 1:28 are you kidding me??? K113 is hard enough on the harpsichord and I would be deterred to even think about playing this on a classical guitar. I'll buy a dozen copies of your Scarlatti album when it comes out. Both Abiton transcriptions and your fluid playing style adds so much to our existing interpretation of Scarlattis. Please do more baroque!
Ditto. For this young man to be able to play with the dynamism, subtlety and sensitivity which this work requires takes a lot of musicians quite a few years. Watching Mr. Boyd execute it with such panache is a sight to behold. @ANTOINE - Although there is no question that J.S. Bach was and is #1, there is a special place in my heart for Scarlatti. He didn't seem to care too much about "The Rules." Although he did write some very seious and touching pieces, I think that most of the time he was just looking to have fun playing the harpsichord. Moer Scarlatti, please! (And, of course, bravo!)
I just love the bouncy virtuosity you have with these Scarlatti pieces and I love his writing of course I had not heard these before . You bring these to love beautifully
Thrilling ! This is the best performance of this sonata I have ever heard. I love the up close video of the fingers on the strings, too. I have come back to this performance many times. now.
I have found all of your videos very inspiring. The Pandemic has taken performance off the table for me. Feeling inspired to play has been a challenge. Listening to your incredible music for Classical Guitar And jazz has really made me want to play. Thank you!

Great, Antoine! Looking forward do hear the full album!
OMG! I have a lump in my throat and wet eyes after seeing and hearing this. This is unbelievable. I would not have considered it to be humanly possible to play this piece on one guitar. There is not one note out of place and your virtuosity and skills are mind-blowing, I can't get over the coordination of everything that needs to happen to perform this. Thank you, thank you, you have lifted my heart today, and I think you are truly a genius.
@@smuwu21 Practice all you want, but some people have a gift that you dont have. You can practice shooting baskets 12 hours a day for 20 years, and you'll never be Micheal Jordan. Practice is not the answer.
Antoines amazing talent must be very discouraging to other guitar players who think they are good. I really don’t think there is any other guitar player out there who can keep up with this guy. He is simply amazing.

Simplesmente, MARAVILHOSO! Obrigado pela partilha. Juste MERVEILHEUX! Merci d'avoir partagé.
That’s a really good transcription! Well it’s Andante but the genius of Scarlatti is this piece works at any tempo as long as it’s executed well, and this is exactly what happens here. Well done, very enjoyable! 👍👍
Watch his left hand. He is working the hell out of the fret board in order to provide the sound which sounds slower. Amazing. I occasionally get the desire to learn how to play the guitar but those desires are compleelly gone now. Thank you.
Splendid and beautiful Scarlatti-music! Technically this performance approaches the impossible!

The Glen Gould of the guitar. He is not from this planet . . . His MEMORY is astonishing. . .
Agreed!
Antoine, you are an exceptional guitarist and serve as an inspiration!
