Dear Mr. Jones, do you have any advice on improving reading skills? other than the classic, "just read a lot of music under your skill level and make it harder gradually" I've been playing percussion and primarily mallets since I was a little kid, back then I learned all by ear and memorized everything, it wasn't until I joined the local youth orchestra that I started actually reading like everybody else, its been 5 ish years since then and I've for sure gotten a lot better at reading, but I still rely a lot on my ears and my memory to learn new rep, so reading still feels very slooooow and exhausting. So please, any words of wisdom you could give me would be very appreciated, since right now I have to learn a ton challenging music, including a 15 minute marimba concerto and it feels like a daunting task knowing how slow my reading is :(
    Thanks in advance!

Can't hear what you're saying, alas, get rid off the mouthpiece. This lesson doesn't stick.

You can access closed captions in the bottom right corner of the video (next to the gear menu), which should make it easier to follow along. Hope that helps!

The mask is unnecessary as he is alone in front of the camera.
He speaks clearly, there are no problems in understanding what he says even though i am somewhat hard of hearing.
You might need to consult a doctor for your hearing. Something seems to be amiss.
