I remember being a huge fanatic of the second game and being so shocked at how different Globox sounded in the third game hehe but I love Rayman 3 and the Globox voice in it, funny the French vocal performance for 3 sound like the English voice performance of Globox from 2, maybe it’s the same voice actor and I didn’t realize lol
Wow, his English Rayman 3 voice is like an entirely different character. The more Patrick Star/Big the Cat sounding voice is how I've always known him through playing Rayman Arena when I was a kid, and it fits his appearance quite well. That's probably why he continued to sound like that in most other languages even in Rayman 3
Globox's original voice is also the voice of the ... Raving Rabbids : Pierre Alain de Garrigues. Nice to know. By the way, I do not think Pierre Alain de Garrigues did the voice for the french version of Rayman 2. The voice is clearly made by Michel Elias (another very famous voice actor, he did Puumba in The Lion King) He is even more recognizable in the Rayman Revolution version
He's definitely a different actor. Based on the fact that he made it into the game and that he voiced Globox in these R3 commercials th-cam.com/video/GtHaf2fVZBE/w-d-xo.html , it seems like he was originally supposed to voice Globox, before those in charge of R3's English version decided they wanted a celebrity instead. I think this presumably ditched voice actor fits Globox much better and should have been kept. I never was a fan of Leguizamo as Globox.
It sounds like John voices Globox in the ending cutscene. It’s only the scene in Razoff’s basement that has the unknown actor. Has anyone considered asking any of the sound directors who might have done it? Edit: I did some looking around, it seems Doug Rand was originally supposed to voice Globox, but he was later replaced with John outside of the FMVs.
@@SplashSurfer216 Now that you mention it was the guy who voiced Globox in Origins, I do remember that one of RO Globox's yells after getting hit was very similar to a sound of him in R3, in a section of Hoodlum's headquarters, where Rayman has to shoot pics of himself and Globox in order to proceed.
I've always wished Globox was voiced by either Dom DeLuise (Tiger from An American Tail, Stanley from A Troll In Central Park) th-cam.com/video/4EkSr22beXc/w-d-xo.html or John Candy (Wilbur from The Rescuers Down Under, Barf from Spaceballs) th-cam.com/video/KfmuDYI6AAc/w-d-xo.htmlm44s at some point.
Oh my god, I just remembered that Mad!Globox is the same actor who voiced the announcer for original Unreal Tournament: th-cam.com/video/MwxjYFqP35A/w-d-xo.html
Kinda wish the czech dub coud've been done better... not that the performances themselves are all bad, they just feel poorly implemented at times (especially in comparison with the other dubs). Kinda as if the voice actors were just given the lines to read but no visual reference at all...
I've been playing Rayman 3 in English so many times and never knew that Globox's voice is SO different in Rayman 2

3:25 Globox’s VA also voices Sid the Sloth from Ice Age and Luigi Mario from the Super Mario Bros. Movie (1993)!
Cool!

Not gonna lie, Globox is the Patrick Star is Rayman.
Thats a certified GLOBOX MOMENT!
The fact Globox is voiced by Sid the Sloth
And Luigi (1993)
John Leguizamo is probably the best voice for Globox
You mean the guy who did Bruno from Encanto?
No the best is the french voice from rayman 3 for sure

Oh, good to know.... wait, Globox in Disney is a thing and i didn't knew??
I love globox
I genuinely thought Globox has 3 voice actors in Rayman 3 English because of how different he sounds in some scenes
8:45 our Polish Globox voice is the best 😁😄😍👍
If you want 👍
Globox from Rayman had the same voice as Sid the Sloth from Ice Age. Look it up, think about it.
Somehow, Globox’s voice in Revolution reminds me of Ord from Dragon Tales.
LOOOOVE IT!
0:03:25 SID (ICE AGE) VOICED GLOBOX!?
So hard to type with one hand....
8:57 Wait... Mario made the voice of globox ? So the crossover between rayman and mario were more old than we though.
i cant hear globox without his voice in the Polish version of rayman 3
I'm convinced the VA for Globox in the English FMVs for R3 is not John Leguizamo, they sound nothing alike. Very bizarre.

@@sanctherion4468 that's so cool! I had no idea these existed!

2:12 Globox almost sounds like a robot version of Stewie from Family Guy.
11:07 I recognise this voice, this is clearly the same french voicer as the one for Rayman 3.
Imagine If Globox Had His Own Game Called GLOBOX ORIGINS
По моему,наш голос Глобакса звучит максимально непохоже с оригинальным.
