Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm still a very reluctant TH-camr but my mates threatened to disown me if I didn't step up and put the RS200 build up here, so having had my hand forced I guess it's a case of having to make the best of a bad job. It seems to be going OK. As for Ems, she's totally crackers - I can't imagine where she gest it from.
I know - you mentioned it last time we spoke re a fuel pump for Robert Pilcher's car. I have some pics of Trevor's car in action if you're interested? Keep up the good work, mate...
Ok that was an istant subscribe for the 6r4 build! :) Keep up the great work dude, i so love this kind of detailed bulds, and the cherry on the top that, this is Group B monster rebuild. So thanks.
That's where we like to live. No idea if you're anywhere near us but you're welcome to visit the workshop in the spring. The Kerosene Café will be open.
Enjoy this project immensely! Watching all the way over in the colonies, from Arizona. Can you share a bit more on the small welding gun? Did you simply change to a smaller gun with a conventional (small) size MIG welder, or is it a special machine just for very light gauge steel? I'm actually rebuilding a Corolla WRC from the late 1990s, but RS200 is my favorite Rally Car of all time. Cheers!
It's a very small torch on a decent little set with good control. It will produce very small and accurate welds but being able to see and control precisely where the wire will arc onto the workpiece is key.
Yes, I've had a chat with Renny, we're going to carefully remove the GB1 graphic from the roof and frame it for his office wall and I'm sure, in the fullness of time, we'll pin him down and extract a tale or two of his experiences of thrashing #068 around Croft circuit and other places. It's all in the pipeline...
It's saving sparks for the grinder, actually... But, seriously, Henry makes a very effective extractor for dust and welding fumes and Henry's are cheap and plentiful. If real mess is to be captured we shove the pipe through a hole in the bottom of a plastic crate. Another top tip from the BBP
We need the tub done for next summer so we can wheel it into the street when the Kerosene Café reopens after the winter and work on it in the sunshine.
For a reluctant TH-camr this is top drawer content.
Your daughter is funny too. Keep up the good work!

No shortage of Group-B goings on at our place. We'll unbox the cars in the spring and take them to the workshop.

Glad you like it. We'll get back onto the T-16 shortly too. It's on hold while we sort the RS200 tub.
