Got 'em all, with a few revisions like: for branches, library or military; my head bands and Band-Aids don't play music; and, finally, temperature was my answer, stairs don't really go anywhere.

Interesting response: there are also branches in blood vessels; gastric bands also are silent. Regarding temperature, your answer could be incorrect, temp does rise and fall and a thermometer measures this and thus mercury moves; a staircase is a correct answer but an alternative could be the up arrow and down arrow on a PC keyboard. Just a light-hearted comment!
