    Eyo! Another great video guys c:
    I've been trying to teach myself music theory for around a year and a half (since I started taking it seriously) and your channel has been my main source, so thanks a tonne! As a matter of fact, you guys inspired me to write a music book!!! I'm trying to figure out the best way to self publish and was wondering if you had any tips or things to watch out for. Ps if you're interested it's expanding on Isaac Newtons Colour music theories that Adam Neely discussed recently. Any input would be much appreciated, I'm hoping to release it as a free pdf by Christmas if I can get it together in time.

    • @HackMusicTheory
      @HackMusicTheory  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey hey Spencer, so lovely to see you again! And wow, that's AMAZING!!! We're beyond stoked and grateful to know that our channel has helped you learn theory, and inspired you to write a book too. Regarding tips for self-publishing. I could write a whole book on this topic haha, but I guess the 3 main things are: 1) Hire a professional editor. 2) Hire a professional designer, for the cover. 3) Hire a professional formatter, for laying out the different formats: PDF, EPUB, MOBI. These are corners that definitely should not be cut, otherwise the final book will suffer. Hope that helps, Spencer, and all the very best with your writing :)

  • @ToWhateverEnd55

    I think it would be cool if you guys did a video on making slow songs that hook people. It seems like almost all of your videos are about faster-paced or beat-driven songs (understandable since that tends to be the most popular songs overall), but it would be nice if you did a video on making great ballads or even low bpm, beat-driven songs. It would be cool as a general video and not necessarily a song-based one, but then again it might work well if you hacked something from the new "A Star Is Born" movie. Love your videos btw! You've changed how I make music so much for the better. Thank you! :)

    Hello! Interesting video. I used this hack before on a piano line for one of my tracks. Anyway, this afternoon I was in a Cafe, working on one of my projects (it's about machine learning stuff) and I ordered a pot of tea, You know, being middle eastern is good at some points, specially here in Iran, we have a very very good quality tea! Have you ever tried Iranian tea?

    • @HackMusicTheory
      @HackMusicTheory  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey hey Muhammadreza, it's so lovely to see you again, hope all's wonderfully well with you in Iran. Back when I was lecturing music at the college in London, I actually had a few Iranian students, so I've definitely got a soft spot for your country and culture! Sadly though, they never brought me any Iranian tea haha! Thanks again for stopping by, and we hope you have a great week! All the best with your machine learning project (that sounds amazing!), and hopefully we'll see you again next Saturday! Ray :)

    Hello! I enjoy your videos and have learnt a bunch! I feel inspired to invest in a DAW. Please could you comment on which DAW you use and on whether there are cheaper viable but still recommended alternatives? Many thanks! PS Coffee is better but we can still be friends.

      Hey hey David, thank you sincerely for watching and connecting, it's so lovely to meet you, and welcome to our Hack Music Theory community! So, we use Reaper, and we're big fans of the DAW, and the company! And for the record, no, we are not endorsed by Reaper, we bought our two copies, cos Reaper is the best DAW for our needs. You'll also be pleased to know that it's only $60, so in our opinion, you won't find any better value for your money. Here's their site: reaper.fm - Hope that helps David, and thanks again for stopping by, we really appreciate you being here, and we hope to see you again soon :)
