I can just imagine yourself, Brunning, and Blackhurst having tea while planning how to stretch out a project over the course of watching ones own child go from infant through their formative years and then they themselves becoming parents. That was a good idea, using the rose-joints. I do admire your stoicism when you're faced with the realisation that you're going to have to redo stuff that you had thought was done. Commendable upper-lip rigidity.

Love this project! It's a pity you couldn't utilize suicide style doors, but I can imagine engineering around the rear wheel arch would be quite a job! Keep it up!
Oh I definitely thought about that - in fact I still am.... it's a bit of a phaff getting suicide doors UK road legal though...

Instead of grinding the rust off, you can grab some OsPho. It’s an added expense, but it will cut down on time and labor

The biggest problem with projects like this is that you always find thing that you think you can improve, so every tiny bit and piece gets done at least three times. I´ve redone the front suspension on my car three times.... And the doors. The roof. The Windows. The ........
So, after twenty years or so it is finally nearly finished..... 🙂

I know it's a bit late now, since you've spent all that time nearly finishing the door hinges.
But did you ever think about a mono hinge at the rear and making them suicide opening?
Just a thought, I'm sure this area could be beefed up to accommodate it.
